What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Today,

Mod #29. Disconnect center dash speaker. This is a popular modification made to many late model Mustangs because the quality of the factory speaker is not very good, and it spoils the L/R channel separation when listening to stereo music. Many folks simply cut the wire coming out of the amplifier because it is easy to get to, and they are afraid of breaking something if they try pulling the dash apart. I decided to pop the dash, remove the speaker, disconnect the plug at the speaker, then replace the unplugged speaker and pop the dash back together. That’s the right way to do it. It sounds much better now.

Been there done that except I didn't bother putting in a new speaker. System sounds much better. Smart mod, also smart not to just snip the wire.

I know! I had the dash off before to install a phone mount, so I knew it wasn’t a big deal. I saw a video on another thread showing how to replace the center speaker. It showed that you only had to pop the left end of the dash near the A/C vents, then the speaker grill pops off easy peasy. Now I can hear stereo!

Are you guys setting the system to driver or all seats after doing this?

Received my Floor mats from 3D Maxpider, I really think they look 20x better than the OEM all weather mats. They fit perfectly as well. I really dig the texture.

Also received my underhood fluid servicing point caps today. Unfortunately, every single one has scratches and chips out of the Aluminum. Really disappointed in that. I will return the items, get refunded and go elsewhere. Still have an oil cap coming from them. I am expecting a damaged one as well.

I just got these same mats in today as well. I have had a set in my last three vehicles. I’ve tried all different brands and keep coming back to these. They’re pretty amazing

Added a Mishimoto Expansion Tank to the engine bay. It brighten things up a bit.

I just got into that and cut both wires because the speaker was crap and hurt my head, took 3 minutes. I installed 2500 worth of stereo because the 9-speaker sucked.

I just finished ceramic coating the new wheels. Taking them and the Nittos to get mounted tomorrow.

More important I just filed a claim with USAA about the fucking pot hole I hit in AR a few months ago. I thought I could just replace the broken bits on my dime but this is way too concerning to ignore anymore despite my shop getting the realignment being back in spec.

I have full coverage with a $500 deductible. This will be the first report ever with them. Fingers crossed it will be fixed without post problems.
