Shelby says they use a FP supercharger, but I would assume that means its really a Roush supercharger. Looks just like it...

The fact you can't look at that car and know it was NEVER a GT350 or GT500 really makes me question how well you know Mustangs...Because I would think it would affect the value if it left the factory as a GT and was modified as opposed to being a real GT350 or GT500. IDK but to me it would matter.
I'd value it as less than a regular GT in the future. Shelby packages are no different than Saleen, Roush or Steeda ones. Mostly just FP power parts + either their own or another company's handling bits + some wheels and a front lip change and decals. Everyone uses the same formula.Could be. I know I'd value it more than a GT500/GT350.
But, really, such things are worth what people are willing to pay for them. What they value them at.
Value is in the eye of the beholder so it is 100% personal preference. For me there has always been something magical about the Shelby name that none of the other mentioned even come close too. Not taking away from their cars ( I love Steeda) but a Shelby is a Shelby.I'd value it as less than a regular GT in the future. Shelby packages are no different than Saleen, Roush or Steeda ones. Not sure what a "Shelby VIN" means, but it has this; This particular one does not have a Shelby VIN.....
To me that "magic" hasn't actually meant anything since the 60's. Anything moderns is no different from the other brands mentioned to me. Actually, less so as Roush does actual development with Ford on many products, and Steeds actually makes their own suspension parts and races them. Shelby does..... nothing but take money from people that know the name using other companies parts.Value is in the eye of the beholder so it is 100% personal preference. This particular one does not have a Shelby VIN but for the money looks well worth it. Personally I would reach out to Shelby to get the particulars.
I’m guessing you have never been to their Las Vegas facility. No one that has would ever make that type of statement or come to those conclusions. To me that "magic" hasn't actually meant anything since the 60's. Sorry, I should have said titled, not VIN. The number you posted is a registration number. Not sure what a "Shelby VIN" means, but it has this;![]()
No I have no reason to ever want to be. Look at their cars. Roush performance parts, Ford Performance parts, rebranded parts by other makers, Scott Drake parts, Other than perhaps a front bumper and hood, nothing about those car impresses me at ALL. I can build it using other companies catalogs. Show me them at a track testing anything, show me them DEVELOPING a new part. Don't show me a warehouse. Hell they don't even make their own Intake tubes.I’m guessing you have never been to their Las Vegas facility. No one that has would ever make that type of statement or come to those conclusions.

Look at the parts list on their Shelby GT cars.
Brembo brakes
Ford Performance suspension
Ford Performance 1/2 shafts
"Mageneride vehicles get springs/bars/tune" (100% guarantee its the $900 FP kit i have on my car now)
Ford performance SC(roush)
Tai light panel (scott drake)
Rebranded Borla catback(wouldnt be amazed if it was a FP catback with SHelby tips)
Name anything they develop to put on a car that's not just looks.
All they do is develop appearance kits to put on cars loaded up from the FP catalog. Their own brochures even point to this.
I mean All the parts that add performance NOW on them are Ford Performance parts, some with a Shelby logo. Shelby at least used to DO performance R&D on stuff. Now all they seem to R&D are wheels, and some appearance parts. I'd easily say the current cars are mostly just Ford in house because they may as well be.Really, the modern Shelby cars modified in Las Vegas, are like the ones from the 60's. Shelby used a Ford engine, with Shelby branded parts, tail lights from a T-bird, and different front and rear facias, Stewart Warner gauges, etc..
All Shelby's from the 60's started out as V8 cars and sent for modification. After 68, Ford took control and performed the modifications in house and used Shelby's name through 1970.
So in actuality, a Shelby modified by Shelby Americas, is more of a true Shelby than the factory ones, produced by Ford and Ford Performance. Granted, it is an expensive upgrade but it is a registered Shelby with documentation, that should hold its value more so than the mass produced cars from the factory.
I can see where you are coming from. Its unfortunate in todays time that we cannot have a modern Shelby, Mr. Norm, or Yenko, that really do R&D. Roush and Steeda do most for our passion, but Gary Patterson at Shelby really is trying to keep what Carroll started going.I mean All the parts that add performance NOW on them are Ford Performance parts, some with a Shelby logo. Which is actually LESS than Roush does, they at least develop their own exhaust, appearance kit, and supercharger, but use FP suspension. Steeda uses the Roush/FP power bits but THEY develop the suspension and appearance.
Shelby does the LEAST out of any of them. Far as I can tell they are LITERALLY just a kit/wheels development company.
