Seems cheap, considering the current market.

Since the car was constructed at Shelby American like any back to the original '65s, it will have a Shelby serial number and be included in the Shelby registry for all time. It's up to the individual whether it being technically a "real" Shelby will mean anything well down the line. Remember, the '60s cars were just normal Mustangs as well....

It's not either a GT350 or a GT500, nor is it pretending to be.

This is a Shelby American car. This was "built" at Carol Shelby's facility in Las Vegas. It's the company he started several years before he died

AFAIC, this is a real "Shelby".
I would argue that this may end up being just as valuable or even more so than the GT500 in the long-run, simply because of the manual option, similar performance on paper, and fewer production numbers (I'm assuming).

Could be. I know I'd value it more than a GT500/GT350.

But, really, such things are worth what people are willing to pay for them. What they value them at.

Looks like a good deal to me. If it was a couple years newer, it would be over 100k. A similar 19 Roush would be in the 60s.

im thinking similar to Rousch stage 3. Modified by Shelby, vs built by ford (GT500)

As others have said, it's a good value if you value what a Shelby American car is. In reality (minus some cosmetic stuff) it's similar to a Roush Stage 3 or Saleen or RTR Mustang powertrain wise. The Super Snakes and other optional add ons are where you start seeing the bigger package differences.

I do believe that more people will appreciate a Shelby vehicle over the others. For that price, it's a good deal.

For the record, I'm heavily biased towards Shelby American vehicles 😊

Also, to specifically answer your questions, Shelby doesn't do any upgrades to the engine or transmission, internally. They use Ford Performance or Whipple supercharger options. No different than installing one you buy from a vendor. Shelby American usually dynos them (Super Snakes at least) to ensure everything is good-to-go before sending out the door.

The dealership might be able to provide you the vehicle's build sheet to see the full list of options spec'ed for that car.

I was thinking of sending mine in last summer. For anyone interested, here is the price list (as of last summer). Note, if you get the GT/SC you have to get the heavy duty package.

Hi All, I came across an ad on Autotrader for a 2019 Shelby GT (just GT, not GT500 or GT350). I was not familiar with these and I really can't find much info online, as when you search "Shelby GT" all you get are results for the GT500. Is anyone knowledgable about these? Shelby highlights some of the changes on their website but you have to formally inquire to learn more. Is the stock transmission used or are any changes made? Are there any supporting engine modifications when the supercharger is optioned? Is this worth the premium over a privately modified GT? Will this retain an elevated resale value? Ad below for reference.

Anyone know there is a Roush label on a Shelby?

The one I posted above I’ve seen in person and it does not have any Roush markings on it anywhere. This one has all documents from shelby. This dealer also sells Roush equipped cars and they are totally different. I can’t imagine the prior owner adding it. I would check with Shelby USA. They should have a complete history on it if it’s a true Shelby.

Shelby says they use a FP supercharger, but I would assume that means its really a Roush supercharger. Looks just like it...
