Finally had some nice weather this weekend so I tackled the front windscreen. I think the previous owner had a coating applied and it had started to break down. I had this terrible film which was only noticeable when drying the window.

I've had all sorts on to try and shift it. Various cleaners, rubbing alcohol, etc. Nothing would shift it. So today I brought out the big guns.

Here is how it looked half way through (passender side has been polished).

And when all done.

I was hoping it might get some of the tiny chips out of the glass but my DA Polisher decided to die so I couldn't do any further passes. Here are the little marks that really annoy me when the sun hits the windscreen.

And we recently had a lovely dust cloud pass over the UK from Africa. So the car needed a good wash.

All clean again. :)

Couple of Carbon bits…

I am overwhelmed by the pink circles all over the steering wheel. I wanna say the carbon looks good but I can’t takes my eyes off those circles… Why? What? How?

Its a religion thing, I haven't got time to take it off it doesn't bug me much since I mostly drive at night and can't see it but I'll wipe it off when I clean the interior in a few days.

Oooooh. I gotcha. If it’s a religious thing you do you. Carbon looks good!

Took her out for the first time after a few months of hibernation. What a great car! The sounds, steering, and handling are so on point. The only thing I think about changing are the wheels/tires to get more traction.

First ride in the convertible with the top down. The kid loved it.

I gave her a wash. Always looks awesome in the sun. Almost time to switch back to summer wheels and tires.

I recently bought a new 6” DA from Griots Garage and used it this weekend. Worked great. I was using good old muscle power all these years. Glad I got the DA. Made it much easier.

Lots of cars coming out of hibernation now, mine included :sunglasses:

A good wash and the glass inside and out. I didn’t do the dreaded back screen on the inside, I got distracted by helping with the gardening (man talk for I got told :giggle:).

Took it for a quick spin to see my parents (and check on dad - came off his push bike at 82 but he’s OK). Couldn’t resist a quick photo from their kitchen door :

9 miles later … :frown:

Never mind, cleaned the door shuts, under the hood, dressed the tyres and gave the tips a good internal :

Got the youngest in bed and went out for an evening spin, only to see them salting the roads again WTF, got home quickly (and unsalted), sulked a bit and then fitted some nice wraps to secure the CTEK charging tail :

The standard cable ties were really cutting into the CTEK insulation that gets very soft with the under hood temps.

Not putting it back on the maintenance charger now, hopefully we’re done with that until late autumn - looking forward to some more good (salt free) weather :sunglasses:

Your hedge trimming fascinates me. I wonder if your man scaping reflects this attention?

Mum and dads are neater than mine, but I have twelve bushes and one hedge - all are trimmed and the misses lets me know when they need doing again :like:

Other than that I am a part time tryathlete - we like the trimmer when its bike season ... lol
