Mach 1 fender flares

The 4 screws into the liner were unnecessary. Factory push pins are probably more appropriate.

The floor screws were to mount the piece of plastic I needed to use in order to meet the tabs on the fender flares there are no holes available in the stock Pp2.

Jesus Christ idiot here (Hand slapping face). I didn’t get anyones attempts at explaining. about the liners. I was readying liners and thinking fender flares.
Sorry I guess the Florida sun fried my brain today. I never considered getting the wheel well liner. That being said , Since the front splitter is different and I think possibly how it connects to the liner under the front end I’d probably have other issues to contend with. Plus if I was to buy the fender liners that’s more $$$ on top of the $330 i already spent.

Have you looked to see how the liners interface with the flares? Do liners have holes for flares to screw into?

Liners Mach1 OEM and have holes for flares to connect using push pins . My car is in storage till spring. I am sure they will not fit exactly on my 17 GT . But I have now my original gt liners and mach1 liners to work with . I think problem will be with front parts of wheel liners which connecting to splitter underbody shield. I hope I unswer the question.

Update: I put a set of 25mm spacers on the front behind a set of SVE350 10" ET40 wheels with 285/35s. The tires rubbed on the flares when the car would go over bumps and divots in the road. Took the spacers off and no problem.

I did. The look and feel was great IMO. It probably would have been OK without the flares, because I noticed that is where it was rubbing. Maybe with 305/30s (lower profiles) First 3 photos are with spacers. Last 2 photos without.

Yea. I really didn't want to lose the flares. They add a nice touch. I may put the wheels on my 2018 GT for a few weeks this spring and use the spacers. Hopefully no rub. I'll let you know.

I think the flares look awkward to be honest. They stop abruptly where the line of the Mach1 bumper would be. So if you removed them no loss. But to each their own.

In some ways i wish they had pushed the awkward race car mod vibe and gone with covers that look riveted over the arches. They could have got a widebody look.

the flared fenders from the GT350/500 was the OBVIOUS answer. I don't get Ford. are they incapable of looking at their own parts bin?

Awkward seems like a strong word for 2 slivers of plastic mildly accentuating a fender arch opening. Its not like they light up and are bolted and wired through the front grill. To each their own I guess. Different strokes for different folks I think they say.
