What’s with the hate and negativity about ess on the other threads? Just curious what’s going on
Jealous lol jk idk. I hadn't heard anything about that. If they actually had questions you would think they would come in here and ask rather than bashing it in another thread.

Cause ESS sucks!... just kidding. I think people like hating on the new kid in town. I might have gone the ESS route if the hype had picked up a few months sooner but I had already ordered my twins.

The only hate I see is coming from Beefcake , my opinion is its because ESS is taking some business from him. Competition brings out the good and bad in people sometimes.

Hey guys I got my kit installed and ran into only one issue other than another that is caused by me switching to a Boss intake manifold from a stock 2018+. Only issue i had was getting the bolt to line up with the hole on the bottom hole of the main bracket that screws onto the alternator bolt. Simply loosen the alternator and line it up. tighten alternator bolt form bottom when done. Easy peasy. Just trying to save someone headache as i was thinking my alternator bolt was bent. Amazing product is all I have to say. The issue i caused by switching manifolds, is the throttle body hose from the maf body to the throttle body dont line up. I am finding a remedy now.

Lazy dealers who want to profit off of simply ordering a part for someone, are now mad that they cant. They were all about trying to get in with ESS if they could make a profit. They found out there is no dealer program and are now trying to say anything to make them not seem reliable, when all they are doing is making me not to ever work with anyone other than ESS.

I found that if you thread the alternator bolt just slightly in before you put all of the other bracket bolts in it doesn't require loosening the alternator. Just a few threads in by hand on each to make sure everything lines up, then run each of them in evenly alternating each bracket bolt until its snug, then apply the final torque. (Pro-Tip) Use Blue Loctite on all SC bracket bolts to ensure that they do not back out because of vibration.

Yes the nittos r2s in 19 inch size are definitely not a track tire but work ok on the street. I find them marginally better then mp4s in straightline traction and they last less then half as long. If you don't already have a cradle lock out kit it will definitely help. Also run the nittos no more then 25 psi hot otherwise the middle will wear out fast then the tires will be useless.
It's going to be difficult to put anything down in 1st or 2nd unless the tire is more biased towards a track tire, but the 555R2's allow me to put the power down in 3rd whereas the MP4's still get rowdy in 3rd, 25psi is the magic number for me on the street.

I have the BMR cradle lock and the BMR762 kit which locks the diff from the other end, Steeda IRS alignment dowels and vertical links. The only piece missing for me is the LCA bushings, all of this and the Nitto's still wheel hopped going down the track. IMO, the ET Street R's are better suited for ultimate traction at the drag strip and on the street, but they don't exactly inspire confidence on a sketchy road surface with some undulations, and they are a definite NO-GO in the rain. I think the Nitto's bridge the gap nicely for the street.

I'm on my second set of the 555R2's and you're right they did wear quickly, but that was a lot of street hits trying to find out what they liked, along with a trip to the track. 1yr and about 5000 miles was all I got out of my first set, but my alignment was off and they wore unevenly, so I'm hoping to get closer to 10,000 miles on my current set.

Thanks for sharing. Curious about lining the tubing up at the boss manifold. I'm running a cobra jet and know I'll be facing a similar puzzle to yours.

Yes a decent drag oriented alignment with about -.4 rear camber and running them around 22 psi cold definitely helps them last and work much better. I've noticed though at after a little more then half worn they don't hookup quite as well though.

Read in a few threads here and on the hellcat forums that they're noticeably better than the Michelins.
I'll see firsthand after I install them next week and give my feedback. If they're just marginally better I'll go back to the Michelins when they're done otherwise these will be my new daily tires long-term.
Have a good feeling about them though

I think you'll like them. I've used both tires multiple times on multiple cars. I'm very impressed by the mp4s traction for a street tire though. One thing to keep in mind though the mp4s likes some heat in them, also I ran those at 27 psi hot max. If I did a small burnout just to clean the tires off they would hook almost as good as the nittos and in every other aspect they are obviously a superior tire. Without enough heat in them though they would spin. Most people though run 35 psi or have -1.6 camber or both, that's just not going to help for straightline traction at all. On the nittos I like them around 25 psi hot max. Pressure, temperature, camber all play a big roll for straightline traction with either of them.

I can also attest to the 555r2 being a decent street tire, can hook my stag 2 procharger on the street in 2nd wot anytime, first you have to roll in it of course. I'm running a different size then most on here with a 345 30 19. I have prob 7k miles on them (5k from a cross country road trip) and they still have some life left. I need to fix the rear negative camber before I replace these. I wish nitto offered a 315 or 325 in 19 inch rims. They only have 305 or 345 nothing in the middle. Hopefully they will start making more sizes. I noticed nto5rs are now gone from nittos site.

I’m actually doing something a little different.
My current set up is 325/30 r19 in the rear(PS4s) but changing to my “summer” set up where I’ll be running 315/40 r18 555 rii (to get a little more side wall as well).
Just waiting for the tyres to turn up (ordered in August).
