So Crazy. I was lucky as when I called the Dealership, they initially told me $5k ADM for the Base Mach 1. I told them I would not pay over MSRP, and left it at that. I got a call an hour later stating they would sell at MSRP if I bought the same day. I could not get down there fast enough. I saw a dealership in New Jersey with a Mach 1 HP asking $89,000...........
Was it north east NJ. I've seen the same thing lol

After Clay barring, hand polishing and waxing the Mach 1, there were still a number of small paint imperfections.
I purchased a DA Polisher last week and went over the car with a soft polishing pad and Scholl 20 Black Single stage paint correction polish.
Followed it up, hand waxing with Autoglym Ultra High Definition wax.

Ended up with a whole new level of shine and finish.

Very nice work! Props for doing it by hand too.

+1 for Scholl S20 Black, a great compound.

What DA polisher did you order?

Thanks DFB5.0, but the props should go to you, its your detailing threads that inspired me to have a run at this.

The Scholl 20 polish was a breeze to work with, I picked that product up off one of your posts, couldn't be more pleased with the outcome it produced.

I looked at a range of DA polishers, a lot of the more popular (mid range) ones were out of stock, so I went with an entry level polisher, it had decent reviews, not a known brand, it did have variable speed adjustment.
It was easy enough to use but it was noisy to the point you would need ear protection if it was being used consistently and it also came with an adapter to fit our 240V power points. It did the job well for the price point which was around $150 Aus, I might look for a better DA polisher down the track.

I also took up your suggestion for Quartz Skin ceramic coating, applied it to the mirrors and bonnet stripe, to enhance and keep the matt/satin finishes in good condition.
Appreciate your Detailing threads, keep them coming!

Do you own a car that isn’t under a cover? :cwl:
 Yep. My Ranger and my wifes Taurus don't get the primo donna, covered up in a climate controlled garage treatment. They do get under roof, out in the barn if inclement weather is forecast. Right now they are both all salted up, but it is 28 degrees out, so a trip to the touchless wash may be on the agenda for today.
