Good day , I recently bought this car from auction, i live outside of US
Just finished with repair stuff ,

What i noticed when I change from Park to Drive or Sport, the car impulses(vibrates) a bit forward. and also on gear 3 shift, it gives similar feeling.
I read from the internet that most 2018 models had this issue and possible solution is to flush the transmission adaptive learning.
The issue is that Mustang is not officially sold in our country, and dealership cant do anything with mustangs cause they don't know how to,

How I can do it myself, download Forscan, and order the cables?(if yes can you please guide me which exact cables I have to buy).
Or if you know other solution please share

Thanks in advance

Hi Davud, I don't believe there is much you can do yourself resolve this. What market was your Mustang produced for?

Everything you need to know about the 10R80, including resets, is in Post 1 of this thread:

Good day,
It was for US, i bought it on copart.com
I changed oil filter, and engine oil today.
But this lunge from switching to drive is really annoying,

I will contact ford dealership tomorrow, but as i said in my country they dont sell Mustangs, so not sure if they will be able to assist

But from your point of view flushing transmission adaptive learning table is a key for this problem?'

Mustangs that lunge when engaging Drive need a TCM reflash. Went through it with my '18 coupe.

Thanks everyone for their help!

Updates:
went to Ford dealership, measured transmission fluid level, 1.8 liters were missing, the dipstick reading was below B. after filling MERCON ULV (Motorcraft XT-12-QULV) 1.8 liters , problem with lunges from Park to Drive still persisted.

They cleared the Adaptive transmission tables- problem with Lunges from P to D is eliminated,

However non smooth upshift/downshift on 3-4 4-3 gears still persists

What should be my next step? Checking the mechanical parts?

They are not able to update software version of electronic cluster

If harsh shifting persists, did they do the most recent TSB (found in that above link, go to the TSB thread in it).

If they did the adaptive learning reset correctly and if they did the most recent TSB and it is still harsh shifting - most likely the problem is not software related and is hardware related; it may be an issue with the valve body, which is a common problem with the early 2018-19 S550's w/10R80.
