Hi, I'm Morphy and have just joined this site. I'm own a 2017 GT 350. I am the second owner, I purchased the car from Century Ford of Mt. Airy, Maryland. I purchased the Shelby two years ago and have no intention of ever selling it. I have been searching for the Owner's Supplement Package and Shelby oil filter wrench ever since the car's purchase. The Chasis # is HO283. I'm posting this in hopes that someone might know the whereabouts of these items and point me in that direction. The dealership couldn't or wouldn't help. I've posted similar threads on other sites with no success so far. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I intend to keep looking. Glad to be a part of this membership forum. Hope I can learn a lot, share, and enjoy from this Ford and Mustang family. Thanks.

Congrats on the purchase!!

My suggestion: Get a ford dealer to pull the oasis report and find out where the car was purchased or previously serviced. If they’re local, stop in and chat with a service advisor, being extra friendly. Give them the vin and see if they have the contact info on hand for the previous owner, which they likely do. Tell them there’s a missing part of the car that you’re desperately trying to get a hold of, and ask if you buy the service advisor a case of beer, if they’ll call the previous owner and see if they’re willing to let their contact info being shared with the new owner, so you can find (and pay) for the ownership package.

The dealership will never give you the owners info, but if they’re sympathic they may make the call for you. Also, most shelby guys are passionate about cars, and if he still has the welcome kit, he might be willing to sell/give it to you.

Otherwise maybe check ebay’s completed listings and see if you can find it that way (then send a message to the buyer or seller if it didn’t sell.)

It’s a needle in a haystack situation, so I wish you the best of luck!

Pilotgore, thanks for the suggestions. Done that at the dealership already. It was a dead-end. Even got a copy of the title from Maryland DVM of the previous owner. Tried to contact him via the phone, no response to date. You are absolutely right about a needle in the haystack. But intend to keep searching. The previous owner traded my car to the dealership he and I brought it from, in exchange for different color 2018 GT350. I was told he was waiting on the GT500 to become available ,and was in the market for it. He sounds like a Shelby guy. Sort of curious that he hasn't try reach out to me.

Bummer!

Maybe try an old fashioned letter in the mail with the proposition of what you’re willing to pay for it. . . maybe that’ll incentivize him to reach out.

Best of luck!

Thanks again for the feedback, I'll try the letter approach, got nothing to lose.

Call Ford Performance at: 1-800-367-3788. The dealership lost mine and FP was able to get me a VIN specific replacement. The contact at the time was Isabelle Jackson but have no idea if she's still there.

Welcome to the site and good luck!

Thanks for the information. The last time I called Ford performance they sort of blew me off about this subject. They told me they did not keep extra performance packages for second owners, only for the original owners. But I'll give them a try again. Thanks again for your input. Great to be a member.

Had new a 16 GT350 and 17 GT350
They have always given them out to first time owners only and I have not seen where second owners have been able to get the package from Ford performance.

Thanks, I think you're correct but I"ll give them a call again anyway. Maybe since Ford has stopped production of the GT350 they have a supply on hand they are willing to part with.

Sorry to be misleading. I missed the part about you being the 2nd owner, my bad. Still worth a call anyway, nothing to lose...

Thanks for your input. Good to hear from another NC owner. I've searched eBay religiously for two years now, hoping I'd luck out and see my Chasis #H0283. And some guys selling these packages are really ridiculous with some of their asking prices but they are worth it to the guy who owns the Shelby. I'll keep searching and hopefully, someday I will locate it. But as many sites I've posted my search attempts on, you would think at least the person who presently processes this particular supplement package would at least inform me of its status one way or another. Anyways, good luck with your search, and if I see your Chasis # out there, I'll definitely pass its whereabouts back to you.
