And it did not save an XML file on my USB stick this time to upload to Ford. the new version is shown in the system screen already.

I just went to send my XML file to Ford and and I too do not have one. Strange. I'm thinking that even after a half an hour and two restarts it didn't finish. I am showing 21098 on my Sync screen.
How long did your update take and how many restarts occurred.

I stopped after it told me I could now remove the USB device... I think it restarted twice but I think I missed the first time it said to remove it and left it in when I drove car again and did updating again then showed the screen to remove stick

I got the remove screen and then restart twice. Then it started a third time. At this point I needed to shut off the car. Bet it wasn't done. Will try again tomorrow AM.

Sure, go into your Sync settings and turn off auto updates.

Well 2 late been had by the auto update ......... what does it mean don't know, but it will not happen again LOL

I did nothing it's just there, not understanding all the jumping thru hoops. With the USB and restarts folks a fooling with?

I must have the smartest Mustang on the planet, super intuitive? Brest fed from the mother ship .....

No, the S550’s do not have this feature. Maybe in 2023 on the S650.

If you’re referring to wireless CarPlay the answer is no. Sync 3 does not support this function. Sync 4 does.

You can get it using an external adaptor.
