Both are sweet in their own way.

Any pictures of your 69-70 Mach 1, compared with your new Mach 1?
Below is my 69 Mach 1, super Cobra Jet (sold) and my current 21 Mach 1
My 21 Mach 1 reminds me of the vintage rumble of the engines from my 60s big block mustangs.

Seeing the OP pictures just reinforces that we need a new grill with round holes for driving lights or someone has got to come up with something that will look good to install in factory grill. The only ones I have seen on a blue give away car really didn't fit right in my personal opinion.

I like the smooth rear fender flares that Ford did on the 70 Mach 1, amazing that Ford was able to do body design changes like that for just a one year run. Your 70 Mach 1 looks awesome, I like that color and the meat on the rear tires!

I don't regret selling any of my classic Mustangs, because it opened the door to get another one! I have enjoyed 12 different classic Mustangs from 65 - 70 models. If I were to have kept one of them it would be my 67 GT500 with a 427 that was a former Tasca 1/4 mile car, it would be worth a lot more now than when I sold it about 20 years ago! I enjoyed the hunt for them, driving them and restoring or finishing a partial restoration, then selling them in a much better condition. The Mustang I enjoyed the most of all the classic and new ones I have owned is my current Mach 1!

you got something against 71-73 mach 1s? I feel the 21 better resembles those than it does the 69-70.

here is how my 71 is sitting right now, except rolled into the shed in the back, and with some trailer tires on it so that it rolls....

I forgot they made the Mach 1 in that body style. I know they are really coming up in value now. My favorite of the 71 - 73 is the Boss 351, had a chance to buy a colypso Coral one and missed it.

I agree , and really think that's where they got the hood decal ideas from for the 21

yup, also, why I think the 21 needs a NACA hood.

Challenge with that may be that we don't need more air into the hood, based on what has been said in other threads about hood lift at high speeds.
