New owner with a few issues....need some advice

They are not, in any way, shape or form "noisy" cars. At all. In fact NVH is kept remarkably low. These cars are stunningly quiet when cruising.

And Ford's fit & finish isn't much worse than any other car companies. It's just that psychotic owners obsess and find anything and everything to bitch and complain about.

I can only compare to previous cars obviously. My 2009 Mini had pretty great fit and finish. I was the second owner and the creaks and rattles didn't start till I was at about 80k miles and tons of mods so most likely self created. My mustang has a few alignment issues with body panels and my passenger fender is actually misshaped at the corner by the windshield like it wasn't quite stamped out properly.

What I mean by noisy is the rattles in the cabin. At 14.6k miles and have several different places in the cabin that rattle. One of witch was long expected as I received my car with the interior plastic installed incorrectly and fixed by the dealership. I guess a wiring harness wasn't in a channel correctly and interior panels were just slapped in wrong instead of fixing the problem during install. I see it both ways, lazy human or the fact they have to pump these things out super fast and it's not in the same league as a Ferrari by any means.

Not very far, it pretty much in the middle.

My vote would be the oil pan seal in that case. Get down with a flashlight and look for oil covered parts. Maybe you can see it.

Come on guys, if the OP can't tell the difference between water and oil he should park the car permanently.

There's absolutely no oil leak. Guaranteed. There's some dirty condensation of some sort or another, nothing more.

The problem is there's so many nervous-nelly chicken littles on these forums, people so obsessed with their cars they find something wrong when there isn't.........and it's a virus they pass on to other people.

Thanks a ton for the suggestions. I will jack up the car this weekend and see if i can see anything. I'll have the care jacked up in any case to throw on my spacers so might as well take a look before the dealer looks at it next week.

I respectfully appreciate your comments, but i can assure you that it's oil. And lets say suprisingly it's not oil, spending $50k and seeing "something" dripping within your first week is enough justification to freak out a bit in my opinion.

Definitely put it on some jack stands and have a look. I’m taking it that you’re mechanically inclined and have wrenched a bit previously. Any slope or slant to where your parking it? Could be anywhere. Likely oil is sitting on the under tray and flowing to that spot. Check out near the oil filter. You can see this from removing the drivers side wheel as well - if you’re putting spacers on the fronts as well.

I fixed the dash creak with a small piece of felt tape between that trim piece and the instrument cluster hood. Worked like a charm.

I'm also in agreement on the dash rattles. Mine is from the drivers side though. Not by the gauges. Pretty normal on these cars.

My guess is your oil filter isn't tight. I has the same issue when I bought my car and it ran down the bottom cover and dripped under the passanger side. I've seen several others since I bought mine that had the same issue with the filter from the factory. Seems common to be loose.

What dealer did you purchase from?

There a few guys on the board from close by. Maybe a little cruise if things ever allow it.

Be sure to mention the noises, my former 2019 and my 2020 are absolutely quiet when cruising and never had any creaks or vibration noises.

However, the oil is a different story, if possible park and leave it in place, then use that position to trace the source of the oil leak. However, the car should not be leaking oil at all, so taking it to the dealer is a good move on your part. Good luck!
