Best Value NA Mods (2015-2017 GT)

I was wondering if anyone could give me some insights on the best mods that don't cost a shit ton. Wish I could afford forced induction or an all out NA build but nope lmao. The only mod I have rn is a cat back exhaust (bought the mbrp cat back, good sound, and cheap af).

Hoping to get peoples' opinions on either convenience mods, aesthetic mods, or hp mods that aren't too pricey.

I have a 2015 Mustang GT Premium with an auto.

Right now I am thinking a tune would be the best route. That way I can either make a bigger intake or buy one and actually get some benefits. I am also thinking about switching to e85 but I live in AZ and there isn't much flex fuel around so im testing how much ethanol is in it.

Just trying to get a feel on other what other people in a similar situation have done and what they recommend.

depends what you wanna do with it. tune, tires, IRS lockdowns, jacking rails, rear shock mounts, springs/shocks

2. Help the car put down the power it already makes a little better. I like the BMR CB005H kit I got on mine.

What tires would you recommend? Still running the tires the previous owner put on. I think they are NITTO tires.

Your best path for now might be sort of a tune: the Ford Power Packs. Stage 1 is not much more than a tune, the air filter element probably does almost nothing. Stage 2 has some actual intake parts and still a tune. Most of it (and this is only a guess) is advancing the timing while requiring 91 octane fuel but that really helps at low rpm.

Ford Performance Power Pack 2 kit. Hands down the best bang for the buck mod. Loved it when I ran it on my car. I think it's around $670 for the complete kit.

Could more be had with a different third party tune? Maybe...but you'll pay more for it. My car put down 403/395 with just the power pack 2 kit. Everything else on the car stock including the exhaust.

you are best off putting in the steeda stop the hop kit. Its not a lot of work to install. you dont need more horse power if you cannot stop the wheel hop. I have only had good luck with mine i run the track and back roads here in pa and it keeps the car from doing crazy stuff in the corners. It will be money well spent

1. CAI = useless
go with original BOX + K&N drop in filter

2. Cat deletes (headers are nicer but way way more expensive between parts and labor and only getting like 7 hp more)

3. Better tires... the original A/S are horrible... FireHawk Indy 500 are great for the price.

4. Get a custom tune from Lund or PBD (canned tunes are useless)

5. You can always upgrade your intake manifold for the +18 and if you are gonna stay with 93, no need to change injectors

What part of AZ are you in? There's a few good options for e85/ e54 out here depending where you live. Ethanol wakes these cars up nicely. I run Lund tunes and loved them. Before going boost I had a flex, e85r, and e54r tune through them. The e54r is great because most of the flex fuel around here tests about 54% plus you can still get decent gas mileage on this blend.

I'm on the other side of the world (goodyear) lol but I believe Val Vista and Broadway has e85. At the chevron. Also being out east there's a lot more options for e54 than out west. Good luck.

Ya I went there and confirmed they have ethanol just have tested it yet. Hope they do tho.

Best bang for your buck is Tune ($300-$800 depending on supporting mods/device[if needed]/tuner/multiple fuel choices...+ cost of larger injectors if going E85), 2018 IM ($450), Headers (if you are willing to do the work yourself $900-$1400) after that, you're not gaining a whole lot for your money.

From what i've gathered, the consensus is don't do a CAI unless you go beyond a just a tune (Headers/IM).
