So i just saw a 2017 gt350 came with a FR3V controller to add more confusion. Anyone out there with a 2019 PP2 controller, would appreciate the P/N and the other codes on the label. See below (2016 GT350):

I might be concerned about putting a 2017 into a 2019.

Not going to buy, just showing as an example of all the codes on the module. One of these could identify installed software.

This is what you're referring to?
https://www.dscsport.com/product/v2-controller-mustang/

I wonder why it's so much cheaper on Fleabay.
DSC Sport is aftermarket controller that comes together with tuning software so you can basically write your own calibration and experiment as much as you want - it's configurability not offered by anything else on the market.

OEM ones are just modules with calibrations set and no way of updating them (other than Magneride handling pack that this thread is about) and no way of knowing what tunes are on it.

I'd also keep in mind that Shelbys (unlike GTs) have suspension settings for Magneride separated from driving modes - you can easily mix & match throttle mapping, suspension setting and exhaust mode - this may or may not affect how the VDM module works in a GT car.

Lastly - unless you are tracking the car or driving at the limit in some way (that doesn't mean what's commonly described here as spirited driving) there will be little use and little difference for most out of these GT350 VDMs (assuming they work fine). It definitely will be interesting to try though and if I had one, would just install it and see - it takes few minutes to swap them.

Just for data points, here are some VDM part numbers that I collected while I was hunting. These are all the numbers on the large white decal visible in the photo above. All made in Hungary:

2016
- GT350: FR3V-18B066-AC; 15W205; 00526926; DZZBA
2017
- GT350: FR3V-18B066-AC; 16W016; 00708130; DZZBA
2018
- GT350: FR3V-18B066-AC; 18W054; 01282142; DZZBA (bought this one)
- EBPP: JR3C-18B066-AJ; 17W421; 01206255; GBRPC (stock on my car)
2019
- GT350: KR3C-18B066-AA; 19W052; 01499507; GBRPC
- GT350R: KR3C-18B066-AA; 19W213; 01556651; GBRPC
2020
- PP1: LR3V-18B066-AA; 20W022; 01656303; GBRPC
- PP2: LR3V-18B066-AA; 19W264; 01579404; GBRPC
- Bullitt: LR3V-18B066-AA; 19W403; 01638094; GBRPC

If I can get done with sprinkler repairs tomorrow, I'll try to plug mine in and see how bad the car freaks out...

Looks like the first 4 numbers of p/n change as hw is changed, not car model, and the 6 digit code is sw version, with the first 2 digits represent build year. I took TTT's list and added more examples in RED. Looks like multiple sw releases some years.

2016
- GT350: FR3V-18B066-AC; 15W205; 00526926; DZZBA

2017
- GT350: FR3V-18B066-AC; 16W016; 00708130; DZZBA
- GT350: FR3V-AC; 17W072
2018
- GT350: FR3V-18B066-AC; 18W054; 01282142; DZZBA (bought this one)
- EBPP: JR3C-18B066-AJ; 17W421; 01206255; GBRPC (stock on my car)

OK, colour me confused.
Which number should I search for for a 2021 GT Premium?

Interesting that GT and Bullitt have different parts. I'll have to save this post to go through it for the Part Number spread sheet.

Damn, I get mine tomorrow. I'll likely have the same issue, but fingers crossed not.
I would say give it a shot. The hard work is getting the Shaker/B&O subwoofer out of the way. It would also be interesting to get a datapoint on the 2019 hardware/software. Maybe the Bullitt is close enough to work.

I'll also note that the mounting bracket for the VDM is specific to the subwoofer situation. My car has the sub, but the GT350 must not have - and getting the two to play together was going to take some work. To test, I left the sub out while I went for a drive.

On the drive, the car felt as much like a rental sedan as a car with 350R springs and PP2 sway bars can... Rapid lane changes were possible and grip was good, but dips in the road felt REALLY underdamped. I mean, the car is drivable, but if you hit a strange patch of road you'd be like "whoa, what the hell was that??"

So, I'm swapping back out here in a few minutes and will keep pondering.

It's most likely the incompatibility due to how Shelbys manage drive modes and availability of changing suspension modes independently of the driving mode - which is (if I recall correctly) driven by BCM.
