I already have a self adhesive plate (rather than a plate with adhesive tape) but I am wondering if I can do something removeable for when the time suits - shows or when I think I can get away etc.

I know about the Show n Stow and Craig's options, but I'm still looking what else is out there

I dont know if you want to go through the hassle of doing so but you could get a tow hook receiver from ZL1 Addons and use their license plate kit.

Just to be clear, the Focus RS uses a threaded bung with an RD16 thread and the GT500 bumper bung requires an RD18 thread. I learned that a little late but updated my install thread after Raceseng contacted me about it a while back.

Yeah most tracks require it. The track near me (thunder hill) requires it or some sort of quick attachment in case you break down on the track so the tow vehicle can quickly tow you off the track so you don’t hold up the other cars.
If you break down on the street you probably shouldn’t use it for long distance just get a regular tow. I’d let the tow company know your car is low and might need ramps or something to help the approach angle onto the flatbed so your front splitter doesn’t get damaged.
I think I saw a page in the manual about towing.
