I am pretty sure the answer is "no" , but does the Mach 1 have tow hook receivers ?

Seems like they should , but then again all Mustangs should .

That may be on the "Down Under" cars. We will most likely get the shaft here in the states, just as they did with the Explorers. There is a removable cover, yet no threaded collar behind it ....... Just a solid metal bumper.

Nope. That's from the US Mach 1 Owners Manual supplement.

Again, one cannot go by the picture. The US spec Explorers have a tow eye cap too. However, once removed, behind it is a solid piece of metal that comprises the actual crush bumper. There is no threaded collar to thread a tow eye into.

As mine is going to be one of the first US built, if the tow eye is in the foam tray in the trunk well, I will say so. Ford shows it in the Explorer paperwork yet, if it's not on the "As Built" line ticket, you're not getting it.

Personally, I hope there is a threaded collar. It will allow for a license plate mounting kit.

Do you have any details on that king of mount ? I'm still wondering how to mount my UK plate neatly ... :like:

Evidently the aftermarket one for a BMW has the identical metric threads. A number of their dealers on my side of the pond carry them in stock. As such, one should be able to source it in England.

TX requires the display of a front plate. No height or placement requirement. I can zip tie it to the right hand visor in fact. How ever, I chose not to. The statute has no teeth. As it is a "fix it" misdemeanor, it has no point assessment. The fine is $200 USD. However, if one as the time to appeal, the higher courts will toss it as they make no money off the fine, only the state. In addition to which, the issuing officer must appear on his/her day off ! And we know that isn't going to happen. Been there, done that !
