My PP2 has about 1500 miles on it now. So far I am in love with this car.

For me its just a weekend cruiser and once a month I drive it to drill which is about 70 miles away.

So far I have only had to drive it in the rain 3 times and I must say it was interesting every time. The Sport Cup 2s are amazing when its dry but not good for the rain.

I am thinking whenever I do replace the tires Ill probably put SC 2s on the rears and just get SC4s for the fronts.

I would recommend for any new PP2 owners to invest in RokBlokz.

Funny thing I had mine in for its first oil change and the front desk guy was like "man you might need new tires already" I laughed and said. Thats how they look but they are only good for about 18k miles.

I actually setp up an appointment today for Friday. Needed to get the lighter GT350 replica wheels installed, and decided I was going to a different tire now and back to stock size. The original owner changed to Nitto 305/35 rear and 285/35 front. Going with four 305/30 PS4S's. The original owner also installed front rok blokz.

No I did not think about getting another set of wheels, looking to see what’s out there I like.

I personally think the factory PP2 wheels are some of it not the best wheels that have ever been on a new age mustang.

I still have the cup2’s sitting in the garage the wheel hunt continues. It going to be a task to find some I like that fit.

After 14K miles on 2 sets of Sport Cup 2's, I switched to the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3's, and they are AMAZING. IMO way better than the Cup 2's. Same lateral grip, way better grip in a straight line (I mean NIGHT AND DAY...for whatever reason, my 2 sets sucked in a straight line but yesterday did a good pull onto the highway and they just HOOK UP). But you get all that traction from the Eagle's but NO TRAMLINING and NO ROCKS. With the Cup 2's, you could hear it pick up rocks all the time....with the Eagle's NOTHING but then you have the insane grip, it just holds. Oh and they last longer and cost less, so after having the Eagle's so far, I will say the Cup 2's suck! The Eagle's do have a bit harsher of a ride but other than that, totally worth that tradeoff.

I did an H-pipe to mine and with the active exhaust I think it is the best sounding V8 out there aside from a flat-plane crank. Did the Steeda clutch spring for the pedal, and I'm liking that so far. Waiting on an MGW shifter as well because I can't stand the lockouts....right now, the drag strip is pointless. Locked out of 2nd...and then locked out of 3rd...what's the point!? But all in all, I chose the package because it would cost less than me doing all that stuff to the car anyway. Other than what I've done to the car, I think it is all-around a perfect car. I also came from a 2019 Camaro 2SS where I had the 1LE suspension and I never regretted trading it in for the 'Stang for 1 day since. But I could go on-and-on all day about that. I just think it is a better car, like it has a soul...

Its funny you came from a 2SS 1LE. I was so close on pulling the trigger on that. I think the SS has better low end torque. But the interior is cheap and simple looking. My left arm sits level with my ear when its on top of the door sill. And back vis well...

So the H pipe does make it sound better? But still quiet on Q mode?

@danno1 I have the Steeda Hpipe on mine and yes quiet mode with it is still very quiet. On track mode it sounds glorious. The cold start is very loud but it dies down quickly.

Love the Hpipe upgrade with my active exhaust.

If you like the PP2 wheels LMR sells replica wheels that should work. If you want to run a true square setup you will need a 25mm spacer up front with extended studs.

I never tried the NT01’s as they are really a track specific tire. But, I ran NT05’s on my GTO and they were the most predictable tire I’ve ever owned. If they came in 305/30/19, they’d be on my Mustang today.

Ford Performance also sells a black version of the PP2 wheels, I liked them so much I got them and put PS4's on them.

For those on the fence for extra set of wheels, I may chime in on this since I'm in the same boat. I have OEM 305 SC2s sitting in my garage and I've been researching what wheels to get to put them on, for light track use. I run 305 on OEM wheels currently Cooper RS3 All weather - great tire.

I almost bit the bullet on FP PP2 wheels in black when they were $1200-$1300 but I didn't. Prices have gone up since due to supply issue/inflation fears. I didn't bite it since they're heavy just like OEM.

Then, I looked into LMR PP2 replicas. After some research, I didn't want to run spacers and longer studs for track mainly because I would have to take all of it off to put on my Cooper's for daily. That would've been a pain. Also, LMR offers 10in which won't properly fit 305 so that's out the window.

So, the field is limited to hit the offset just right without spacers and run 305 all around (10.5/11). I think Apex has it, expensive, and Project 6GR. You can find a decent set a wheels from P6GR for about $1550 with sensors and lug nuts. I hear they're drop shipping them and delays are extensive. Happy to hear if someone has any other ideas.

I hope you don't think you remove longer studs when you're swapping back to factory offset front wheels. Switch to open lug nuts and you can continue using the factory front wheels just fine with the extended studs. The spacers just slide off and on mostly. You should never be using bolt on spacers. Just make sure they are hub centric spacers (check out opmustang for extended studs, open lug nuts, and spacers). Lots of track guys go with this type of setup.

Just to update everyone here, I got my 2019 PP2 about 2 weeks ago. My jaw dropped when I saw it in white! It came with 5K miles. It also had the Ram Air Hood from the previous owner. I was on the fence with it. Was thinking of getting a stock hood. I think it looks pretty good at least from the outside. A little "bulgy" looking over it from inside.
The dealer said they put Falken Azenis FK510s on because of the worn PSC2s wouldn't pass inspection. At least I got new tires.
I just painted the pony on the front. New FP shift knob. New FP plaque over glovebox. New FP Door Sills.
I also ordered the Bullitt Calipers from Steeda. I wanted the red color. Was debating on painting them but wanted them original. These are being shipped from Ford to Steeda but not all calipers are in stock.
