I could care less if anyone does not want the inoculations. However, the sh*t will hit the fan if I find out it was one of those stubborn gits that infected someone I care about.
That’s the beauty of a virus. How will you know exactly who someone you care about caught it from? It’s not like it comes rapped in a box with a pretty little bow. That says a gift from joe smoe. Contact tracing only works if you and your family never leave your home. One trip to Walmart for milk and bread exposes you to hundreds. Maybe thousands of potential carriers.

Typical discussions, I'm right your wrong, your wrong I'm right. This is true, thats not true, you're a idiot.
It just proves one thing to me.

No one knows the real truth, agendas, power, money have muddled the waters until there is no known truth.

I have notice lately that people are posting with no filters, not only in this thread but others. They respond to threads with second grade degrading remarks about another members intelligence level.

Sure it is a discussion, but at some point it becomes useless.
It’s every where on social media. The real problem is the lack of civility is starting to carry over into every day life. I canceled all my social media. It’s just not healthy being angry all the time. Cancel social media. Quit watching the news so much. Life is better.

Got my 1st vaccine... my throat swelled up making it uncomfortable (didn't report it as I didnt want to be taken to a hospital) during the 15min observation period.
Please check with your MD so he can make the diagnosis as to the severity of your reaction. I do not know what "throat swelled up" means but you want to make sure the reaction is not considered a severe allergic one. I think the only contraindication to shot 2 is severe allergic reaction. At the very least anyone with severe allery like epipen carriers need 30 minite post shot monitoring. The 1st shot is like 50% effective and some think maybe more. Let your MD decide if the benefits outweigh the risks.

Unfortunately too many idiots exist here that need to interject their useless opinion that nobody asked for; even though the topic is about who is planning on or who already got the vaccine

What is even more entertaining are the back alley doctors who earned their credentials from Facebook and Twitter.
I completely agree.

I have undergrad in molecular biology and genetics, masters in both cell biology and in biochem, then dropped out of PhD program doing my thesis research on DNA/protein interaction. I know I am only a HS science teacher now, but I have been up to my eyeballs in science most of my life, taught undergrad and graduate courses in biochemistey and I know exactly how vaccines work and are made. With that being said, I don't know if I am qualified to make comments on the efficacy (positive or negative) of the vaccine as I do not think my own(or anyone else's) opinions are what is important.

I feel like too many folks (both on and off internet) are too willing to read something on the internet and then if it seems to agree with their pre-conceived opinions (either for or against vax), decide it is good science. That's not how science works.

A true scientific process is NOT when you scour information to back up or bolster YOUR ideas. It is when you have an idea and then you spend your time searching literature and bonafide research (not others' opinions) to see if you can prove your DISBELIEF.

The thing is, this really forces all real scientists to force themselves too look at the other side instead of just trying to strengthen your ideas only.

When a person fails to disprove your own disbelief, then logic dictates that the person has nothing left, except to now accept that their disbelief is no longer valid, accepting the opposite idea (for now), then... as a person who accepted the opposite view, you now go try to disbelieve your new belief (which seems strange as it seems like you are now trying to strengthen your initial wrong idea), by reading research data (again, not opinions) and see if you prove your disbelief of the new belief that you adopted...

The thing is, as confusing as this sounds, this approach tries to minimize the impact of the self advocate in the thought process as the self is the most passionate advocate of your ideas, which means if you try to always prove your ideas correct and disbelieve anything that even tries to sound different from your ideas, that's all you'll ever see and then now the emperor truly convinces himself that he has clothes on.

If you don't believe in the efficacy of the vaccine, then don't get the vax. If you believe the efficacy of the vax, then get te vax.

That being said, I do hope people are taking time to look at the actual research data and make their own informed decisions, and not adopt a statement or statistical research done by politicians or any non scientific persons/organizations and tell themselves that they made a decision all in their own.

Do scientists always do this? No, that's why this is now taught in some grad schools. But all of what I just said is based on review of history of scientific research and the thought process that I just listed seems to be the way most scientists thought for all of the major advances in human history.

Sorry for the long rant, but this isn't me trying to make fun of people who are internet sheeps. It's just that science believes that ALL HUMANS are scientists, capable of scientific processes (I used to tell students that it is our God given right), but people tend to not allow themselves that.

The initial question was a person just asking if anyone got their vaccine. I come to mustang6g because while people have their own opinions (Eb vs V8, GT vs Shelby's, Camaro vs. MUSTANG), but people seem to respect each other's opinions Nd try not discredit or shoot down someone because they do not agree with their ideas.

I hope we keep it the same, even if the question wasn't about Mustangs as this is why i respect everyone on this forum.

I know I sound like a hypocrite because I also injected a ton of my own opinion. But that's just it though, my opinions are my own, do not make them yours, but the scientific process that I described, that's not an opinion, it's an actually proven method based on successful advances in scientific history (versus some scientists leading masses to wrong idea and/or scientists arguing about pointless things with no advancement/benefit to humanity).

you haven't noticed the profound power to herd the masses into doing your will? "we need to kill ICE" results in "nobody move".

We need to crush the middle-class yields "nobody go to restaurants" and "nobody go to small stores - only goliath big-box are allowed to open their doors".

We need to break the bonds of society and between traditional familiar bonds yields "wear masks, social distance and don't dare visit Grandma or you're gonna kill her".

We (medical apperachics) abrogate to themselves the power to (re)shape society - we use mind-boggling fraudulent 'models' to scare gov't into do what we say.

We (medical apparatchiks primarily in USA) want to make money hand over fist with "a cure" so we'll use the power of social media and gov't to mock, attack, disappear'nic and declare illegal treatments that cost pennies and have been around for 70 years with flawless safety records.

It's noting but pure evil from top to bottom.

That's how I see it. Feel free not to.
Nope, I can't say I agree. I appreciate the answer though ... it was a legit question, I wasn't being a smart ass.

Just a question....We can't agree on A10 or 3 pedal 6speed...how could we possibly agree on vaccines?

The irony is that for someone who places such a strong emphasis on opinions, more here agree with me than your so called opinions from "experts." Using your metrics, I already proved you wrong :giggle:

We can use my method if you want. Do you want me to show when the flu occurs every year?

I completely understand the concept. You just like to derail the thread and get butthurt when you are proven wrong. This happens all the time in threads, as you can tell by just reading the stark contrast between some of the other posts and your posts.

It isn't hard to find assholes on forums. They are easily spotted by the steady flow of excrement that always gets released, just like the real ones :)
Lol, yeah man I'm super butthurt about what some random idiot on an internet forum thinks about anything. This is obviously your life though, so enjoy! I got better things to do, have fun :)

But most people (I think/hope) respect everyone here enough. I am in the 6MT group, but I will acknowledge that A10 is faster for dragstrip, and if I were to drag my car, I would probably get A10. But I drive my car recreationally and I wouldn't trade 6MT for anything.

In my EB, the 6MT made for so much fun car to drive around (did rent a A6 '15 EB once). With V8 and downshifts, I LOVE my 6MT.

I just hope we can use the same respect to each others views here, even if it's not EB/V8, 6MT/A10.

Contact tracing CAN work if the daily case numbers are low enough, but yes, it’s not gonna happen anytime soon in the US.

Exactly.

Nys also has a bluetooth enabled app for ios/android that allows it so that if/when your phone is near another phone (with same app) for more than 10 min, it keeps an anonymous log. If a person who becomes positive happens to own this app, they can go in their app, report the positive case and time of the positive case, and the app will automatically contact any of the other phones that were near it before the time that the positive case happened, and alert them to go get tested.

I've heard so many grown adults saying how it's another way for the government to keep track of you. Here is my 2cents on this. People who usually tell me that they are paranoid about anyone keeping track of them usually aren't very interesting (not a billionaire let alone a millionaire, not a famous person, etc...). They try to act like I am stupid for "buying into" the government surveillance.

And when I ask them, do you have a smartphone? They usually have a nicer, newer smart phone than I do. I tell them that if they really don't want to be tracked, don't use the internet, don't use social media. But apparently they are okay with that... they say, "I use VPN..." I ask them, but you go on social media with your username??? Using your vpn??? it blows my mind.

I understand and am okay that google, amazon, etc are using my usage data as long as it is anonymous. It is because in return, I get to experience my mustang like no one has been able to in previous generations, sharing ideas, info, tech, how to, repair tips, and passion and interest 24/7 on the internet, with people who I would have never met if it weren't for mustang6g.

3 pedal A10?
Clutch pedal in allows neutral revs plus auto selects 1st gear and adds steering input towards nearest curb or bystanders?
