My '69 Mach 1:I had to do a little digging.. according to the BOSS302.org website, the original placement according to the Ford Media Release was for the stripes to flow in line with the door... however, the cars that came out of Dearborn were straight, some of the cars that came out of the Metuchen Plant were placed wrong and high in the back.... If the car did come out of Metuchen, it may actually be correct.... or someone thought it would be a good idea to do a few shots while installing the side stripes.
Beautiful. What does it have for a motor? You don't see many in white. Here were my past two 69'sMy '69 Mach 1:
The color is actually Pastel Gray, which is kind of a dirty white color. Not sure why Ford rolled out that color for '69. I had the 390 ci , with a 4 spd toploader and factory shaker. Last year for the 390 truck engine. LOL I sold the car and it is now in Arizona.Beautiful. What does it have for a motor? You don't see many in white. Here were my past two 69's
That color reminds me of the original Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds (I know that was a 1973). Your 71 appears to be an early 71, as it did not have the hockey stripes. I also had a 71 429 CJ Mach 1 with no stripes, but in Pewter. I am not sure if it was funny or not, but stepping on the pedal, you could see the gas gauge drop haha. The color is actually Pastel Gray, which is kind of a dirty white color. Here is my 1971 429 CJ Mach 1 from the way back machine. Sometime I will repurchase these models as I absolutely loved them both. Yours are gorgeous.
The '69 photo is in front of my old high school, which I thought was appropriate since I graduated in '72.
The 2015R went for $115,500That 2015 R will be VERY interesting!
Well, it met the reserve and sold for $55,500 plus feeAND it's black.
That’s pretty damning for that car not being able to squeeze out a dollar passed the $60k mark.Well, it met the reserve and sold for $55,500 plus fee
