I don't know man, I think this looks equally terrible.

I agree, I think the s550 has enough fender flairs already. I will draw the line at shelby fenders.

Just like everything in life, too much of anything just makes it look bad.

The taped on wide body (fake rivets or not), conjures up images of a mustang that hit too many buffets, or an obese cat.

and still stuck with a single piston rear caliper.
This! Would it have killed anyone at Ford (other than a bean counter) to at least put a single piece caliper? I am not even asking for four piston rears, maybe two piston, single piece. So aesthetically it would actually match the brembo in the front.

If anyone sells a direct swap single piece caliper that will work with existing rotors on the back, I would actually be interested. And no... don't get me started on plastic caliper covers.

Edit:
After hitting post, I had a thought/question. Is it possible to put the GT 4 piston front caliper/rotors on the back? I recon it would require a custom bracket and/or knuckle, and maybe something so that we can attach the parking brake cable? Or would this make it an overkill for rear brakes? I see much larger rear rotors calipers on Porsches so i wouldn't think it would be an overkill...

I actually have a brand new set of GT calipers/pads and rotors sitting in my garage (got them so I could upgrade the brakes on my old 17EB, but I returned the lease and ended up with PP1 GT, so it's just collecting dust in my garage).

No. The rears doesn’t need 4 pistons. Even if it were possible you’d have to change the brake bias as the rear changes from a single piston to 4 pistons. If the car is automatic who needs an ebrake? Would need a separate caliper just for ebrake. A rear caliper from a car that has 2 pistons rears and ebrake built would be better, like a STI.

I've not given it much thought, but the company most likely to offer an upgrade for the single piece caliper . I think would be Wellwood ? As you mention the EM brake would make it difficult. But there is a work around, manual box leave it in gear, auto has park. Leave mine in gear to keep the pads from sticking as it is.

Not fan of the plastic covers are you LMAO.

It's the poser's badge of honer, you must give respect. Oh yeah I'm faked out .... not

I liked the clean looks of single piece calipers. Liked Brembos for this reason since 2010 when I didn't choose to spend extra $ on my genesis coupe.
I hate the ones where at the local autozone, I see old Hondas with "brembo" covers. But the thing has a thick layer of brake dust. I can't even imagine the condition of the calipers under the covers. I felt sorry for the car (late model accord with badly done bodywork) with its 20 fake vents/scoops and brake covers that make calipers sit in a cake of brake dust. Wife says the fact that I feel empathy for the car certifies me as a car nut.

The thing that really boils my bacon is that I have a coworker that NO ONE likes. She is so full of herself and while doesn't know anything she thinks she is very well-read/educated and always has a chip on her shoulder.

She recently got a Subaru suv that came from factory all black But... has these red plastic accents on the roof rails, and it's a factory thing. That's fine too... but...

A male teacher came up to me in the hallway the first day I brought my black PP1 GT to work. He raved about how it's so cool that it's all black. He asked, "are your black wheels 19's", I love the brakes, the red "Brembo" on it...

She walked over and started to say that she also got an all black car and how she had the dealer throw in all the optional packages.

I noticed later that day, the dealer she got it from put on red caliper covers! I asked her next day about her brakes. She said it was an extra option, but worth every penny because it makes the car pop... the other guy that was talking to me later said, "dude, she can't even tell the difference between a set of real brembos and plastic covers". He wanted ask her how much shorter her stopping distance is with the upgraded brakes.

While I have no problems with anyone with their Foresters, I do have a problem when somone equates their "blacked out Forester with caliper covers" to a "blacked out" '19 GT 6MT PP1.

Annoyingly she keeps parking her car next to mine in the lot. I am actually embarrassed for her.

But I guess whatever floats their boat??? And maybe I am no different in that I don't track my car but have Brembos???

I just hope the dealer charged her $1000 for her "enhanced brake package".

Lesbian gym teacher? Owns one or more pitbulls?
No comment... urgh! Trying real hard go not comment...

Fine... I don't want to make assumptions. Not correct on any of that, but if you think of a stereotyped version of that description, this person would fit it to a T.

One time something wasn't working I her room, and she was throwing a fit, swearing in the hallways (yes, real professional). She said she'd put in a work order for the custodial folks to repair it but she swore and then said the custodians never do anything she asks.

30 min later the custodial electrician entered MY room and asked if my room is okay. I was thinking, wait, she put ME down as the one having problems because she thinks the guys don't respond to her requests???

I told the two custodians, that I am not the one with the probelm. They both responded, "yeah, but... Do you like HER??? Does anyone like her??? She's so nasty and rude!!!"

I then brought up her car, which they both laughed about. One of them is the NICEST person in the building (and has an 89 GT vert that he is very slowly restoring in his garage, and he didn't judge me when he saw my '17 EB, but was excited to see. Nice pony car in the lot).

When the nicest person in the building hates you, you have problems...

Oh yeah, I'm pretty 'meh' on some of the design elements, don't like the hood, or the screen door front end treatment, but the fender proportions are awesome. I actually prefer the newer wheel designs too, there's a guy (from right here on this forum) getting a WB Shelby treatment on his GT500, and he was showing the new wheels (he prefers the older "big lip" in that photo, I think it really dates it).
Okay....
Now I disagree with Masked Racer

I have the Shelby Super Snake Hood - And it looks really awesome.
But being an old guy, I like Hood Scoops and Spoilers - So I added them to my Mustang.
And I dislike Ford did not add a Hood Scoop to the Mach 1.

Everyone has the right to their own style.
Stripes or No Stripes
Hood Scoops or Not
Spoiler Types?
Carbon Fiber?
etc etc etc

As I always say - every one likes what they like - you do what makes you happy with your car - no hating here.

probably going to get flamed for this, but this one didnt turn out bad, but again its my own opinion. Mainly I dig it due to molding it, not leaving the bolt on look.

I think it has a professionally done look.
Not digging the color scheme / red accents.

So far so good. With the Lund and Borla it gets going. I've roll raced a couple of similar OEM spec (0-60 and qtr)cars from other US brands. Mine got ahead and stayed ahead. So I am guessing that is mods and driver, or just mods, but on paper the cars stock are very very close. So not sure I should have slowly walked away.

I have my Shift notification set at 6600 RPM's, so I shift about 7k.

Out of curiosity, do you happen to know what RPM you drop to in each gear?
No. I've tried to spend some time getting comfortable with the car, just due to not having a 6spd in awhile and never having a car with this much power. I'm kinda at the point where I was tinkering with the shift notification after reading posts here (for set point RPM) and paying more attention with eyes up on road and listening for the tone instead of looking at the gauges. When I get some more time I'd like to tinker with it a little more, but just making baby steps.

The car doesn't scare me as it did 3 months ago lol, but I still respect it alot. I'll always respect it, these things howl.
