I was looking at the details in the Shelby GT350 Owners Supplement and it states the 2020 MY GT350s should use Motorcraft Orange Prediluted Antifreeze VC-3DIL-B for the US, and CVC-3DIL-B for Canada. My 2020 GT350R came delivered with green colored coolant. ??

Was the change to green colored coolant a 2020 MY change, and the manual was not updated? What is the Motorcraft PN for the correct green coolant?

For some reason it doesn't show up in the latest GT350 manual, but it does in the latest GT500 manual. They changed over to the Yellow (Green) antifreeze this year and it started with the Job #2 cars.

Thanks for the information...that is super helpful.

I was questioning this because I purchased an extra gallon of coolant from my dealer when I bought my car. They sold me 1 gallon of "yellow" coolant. When I was looking at the coolant reservoir tank, the installed coolant looked green. So based on the information above, it sounds like they sold me the correct coolant and in this case, "yellow" is in fact "green" looking.

Is the part number for the gallon VC-13DL-G? Also, what do you mean by "Job #2"? I've heard of "Job #1" before. Not sure how this applies to this coolant change.

Cars built after January 1st, 2020 have the "yellow" coolant which actually looks green as you've observed. Cars built before still used the orange.

The yellow coolant is replacing the orange.

Orange will be all gone soon.

Another change with the Job 2 (after Jan 2020) the bubble bump antenna on the roof was replaced by the Shark Fin antenna.

Advantage of using the Yellow Antifreeze.

I guess it is better to have the yellow (green) coolant...it lasts longer. Although it's going to take me 10 lifetimes to get 200,000 miles on this car!

So "Job #2" refers to vehicles built after Jan 1, 2020? Good to know.

I did notice the difference in the antennas because my father also purchased a new 2020 GT350 and his car was built in October and delivered in November 2019 and has the bubble style. It was one of the first things I noticed when I got home and parked my car next to his. My car was built on 29-May-2020.

Snoopy49 - You seem to have really good information on the details of these cars. I have a follow-up question you might be able to answer. Is there an "assembly manual" available for these cars that show exploded views of how various components are assembled/disassembled, along with torque specs, etc.?

Try these people, the one they list for the 2020 Mustang contains information on the GT500. The one I have seen did not show the GT350. I would contact them and make sure the GT350 is included. They may a have another manual for the GT350

Helms has factory manuals on CD-ROM, I would contact them and make sure the service manual covers the GT350.

I bought one (2016 GT350) from factory-manuals based on recommendations from folks on here and it works well. It is the full manual for all of the aspects of the car (mechanical, electrical, etc.). Make sure to buy the one with the links. It costs more, but the *.pdf is over 11,000 pages and searching for keywords isn't as quick as using the links.

I think they buy 24-hr access from ford for your VIN number and use software they developed to collect the data/build the *.pdf.

@Lurker_350 ,
I never noticed before, but it looks like you are correct, all my cars specs are in the Introduction. That would explain the lack of other model Mustang information.
I believe the Helms service manual shows information on all the Mustangs. I would call them to verify.

The 2020 Ford Mustang repair manual will be created and delivered using your car VIN. The 2020 Ford Mustang service manual delivered by us it contains the repair manual, parts manual and wiring diagrams in a single PDF file. All that you ever need to drive, maintain and repair your 2020 Ford Mustang.

Thanks guys. I placed an order for a vehicle specific manual at Factory Manuals and it should be ready in 24-48 hours. I purchased the .pdf version with the links (Thanks for the tip Lurker_350). They just had one option, which was the Deluxe Manual.

Interesting, I bought a GT Base in Feb. The door sticker says 1/20 build date.

I def have the yellow/green coolant, and my manual says the 200k change.

However, I have the bubble vs the fin. Is this maybe a GT350 thing? Or possibly mine was in the first run using up the bubble inventory...
