I currently have 35mm Whiteline front swaybar and slotted struts (-2.5 camber/zero toe) I am running stock tires and recently I have developed passenger side tire rubbing against the swaybar. Finally figured out that the bar was not centered so I've tried straightening/ retightening endlinks (i bought a set of used BMR endlinks on here) and it would always go away for a couple of hours then come back. Its at its worst when turning full lock/or turning from dead stop.

I do not have the locking kit installed so i plan on doing that, but any idea why this may keep happening? The car was great for 3-4 months but about two weeks ago it started happening. It makes this horrible sound and the car amost skids instead of turning due to the swaybar repeatedly rubbing against the inner tire sidewall.

Another question is how is everyone rubbing wider tires in the front or lowered suspension not have this issue? There's not much clearance on there

I have a stock rear swaybar and run full stiff in the front. Bushing look perfectly fine.

What keeps the swaybar centered on the whiteline? I know my stock rear bar had some tabs on the bar to keep it from sliding in it's mounts, and my Strano replacement came with clamps for the same purpose. Without those there is nothing to keep the bar from sliding left/right in it's mounts. The endlinks aren't designed for that purpose.

Yeah I'm hoping the locking kit i'm about to order will finally stop it from moving..I just don't get why it didn't do it for the first three months ..I was just wondering how everyone else were dealing with it

Also what is a good way to center the bar ?

I apologize for bring this thread back from the dead but i'm having the same issue. I recently changed to 19x10 285/35 wheel at the front and i realized the tire is making contact with inner fender liner and also swaybar, control arm at full turn of the steering wheel. Will a 5mm spacer fix this issue? I haven't check my alignment in a while but i believe it's -1.5 camber

The Steeda lateral links do bring the tire a bit closer to the body by narrowing the track a bit with the extended ball joint. You may try a 5 mm spacer to see if it stops. I only got rubbing with my 275/40R19 setup on 19x9.5 wheels. 255/40R19, no rubs (essentially same diameter as your 285/35). The small spacer should get the inside of the wheel in a similar spot.
ordered a 5mm spacer, mostly that should resolve it. I'll report back

I am not seeing obvious rubbing on the sway bar in that picture. Which bar is it? Does it have an integral or add on locks to keep it from walking side to side?

It's the swaybar that came with FP track handling kit. I'm using swaybar locks; when i purchased this kit in 2018 it didn't have those included. I took a look from underneath the car and it's making contact with swaybar and the control arm.

Ha, I thought it looked like the TP swaybar. Sounds like you don't have the locks in the right place. Did you center the swaybar when you put them in?

The spacers will hopefully fix the tire rubbing on the inner fender. Personally, I am not a big fan of limiting the steering lock on a street car. Race car, no problem.

shipping delays but hopefully I'll get those spacers delivered in few days. Will report back once I put those on

The swaybar was installed at a shop and i think it's centered but, I'll recheck when i put those spacers on

I too run 285/35 19x10 up front and see marks on the inner fender liners. I didn't notice any other contact points. I bought 3mm (1/8") spacers from CJPony but haven't tried them yet. Might be just enough.

Got the spacer on today and took some pics. I'm guessing since I'm checking this by turning the steering wheel when the car is turned off, probably has something to do with it I'm not sure.
