I just watched a YouTube video comparing two mustangs with A10s (one PBD tuned and one Lund tuned) That video seemed to show smoother shifts with the Lund car. So I’m currently leaning that way. I don’t want the transmission shifting harsh while I’m commuting. Of course I’m good with more firm shifts when I’m on it :)

I think there may be some sales around Memorial Day so will probably wait for that. I will have plenty of time to read the forums, etc.

Consider AED too for your flex / e85 tuning needs. Also, 18+ stock cai with a drop in filter provides smoother maf curve for flex tuning and keeps iats down much better than open element intakes especially in warmer climates (Mine gets beat on in Phoenix where its 100-120 many months a year).
Do you have an A10, and if so how does it act during non-aggressive driving?

Yup A10. In normal its stock. I only leave it in normal while oil temps warm up as it's down right docile lol. Track and drag it's an animal. Same with paddles.

I hope no one minds me bringing this back.

I’m seriously considering getting a flex/e85 tune for my 18 A10 PP1 premium car, and I have a little different needs.

I want my A10 to shift smooth in normal mode since it is my daily driver.. I’m fine with the stock aggressiveness with the transmission in all the modes quite honestly. So would PBD or Lund be best to setup the A10 to be like this for a DD car? I would love to hear real world experience for both etc.

Also, since this is a daily driver and I live just south of Memphis (hot and a little humid in the summer), would a JLT intake be worth it? I’m thinking 30ish whp without it and closer to 40ish whp with it, but keep in mind I do some stop and go driving on my commute to/from work.

I appreciate any feedback you guys/gals can give.
In normal, it drives normal. It doesn't get aggressive until you swap to sport(+) or put your foot down. Pretty sure that's how most tuners are doing it.

Will the different modes still have their differences? And still follow what they were meant to do but just be more aggressive? I wouldn't want all modes to be the same.

also what gains will I see on just a 93 tune for my 2019 GT A10?
Horsepower wise, a 93 tune from Lund nets ~11 rwhp peak; E85 tune adds another ~15 rwhp (peak) on top of that, with no other changes. I've seen other drag tests where the 93 tune nets a tenth of a second improvement in e.t., and less than 1 mph trap speed gain, same day same driver.

It's not a world changer, power-wise. If you want the different throttle/A10 response, then it may be worth it, depending on who you ask (not to me).

Wow. Good thing I didn't go lund haha.
Not much to be had in general on 18+ tuning alone (unless non drive mode car then trans tuning would help) until switching fuels. E85/flex tune completely different story.

This is true. Drag mode will pretty much max out timing and shift fast.

Yeah I was planning on an e85/flex tune, and mainly use e85 around my normal driving area.

unfortunately my A10 transmission just started having some issues and I don’t want to touch it until that is resolved... (for warranty).

What did you gain on your tune alone?
Just on the tune, almost .3 seconds. LUND seems to cater to FI setup ups & E85. There NA 91/93 tunes seem to 'generic', 'soft' or however one wants to describe it.

What was the DA on both runs? How about trap speed and 60'? Like I said in my earlier posts, DA makes a difference, and obviously, the e.t. is greatly affected by the 60', so to really see if you gained, you'd need to analyze those. A lower DA and a slightly better 60' could easily result in a 0.2x improvement with no other changes to the car. I'm not trying to be difficult, really just want to see if the gain is real, or if half of it is environmental/ambient related.

Just got a 19 GT - seems like - and I have no drive modes - when I step on it there is a big pause then power hits.

Would a tune fix this? Its a daily driver, I dont really care about power adding right now. But I would like to be able to keep it in auto and when I step on it be no pause or jerking.

Ya models with no drive modes definitely benefit from a tune even if not tuning for e. This is due to the trans tuning.

Non drive mode cars are basically the same as drive mode cars left in normal. TBH this mode is only used until the car is warmed up. I cannot imagine having to drive in that on a regular basis.

Many tuners will keep non drive modes cars docile until you shift to sport and this will be your aggressive mode. Would just need to discuss needs with your chosen tuner.
