PBD vs Lund for shifting preference 10r80/A10

Thanks all, Ive been thinking about getting a tune but here in Hawaii we do not have E gas, so it would just have to be a 92 oct tune and trans tune. Just wondering if that is worth the money for slight gains.

For a 300a car yes. For a car with drive modes ie: 301 or up, I would say no unless you are going to do other mods with the tune such as catless long tubes

I drove a Lund car, didnt like it, went with PBD, they now tune 3 of my vehicles. No Regrats

My tuning on my 18 gt A10 is from Shaun @ AED. Performance is outstanding and his service is as well.

I think a tune is worth it just for the better throttle response and getting rid of the Tq reduction.

Lund has more fast 10r cars than anyone. Anyone can tune air fuel, the automatic tranny's are what seperates the men from the boys.

They have this trans dialed in great and shifting hard they can adjust the firmness of the shifts as well

Hey Beef, does Lund do multiple tunes like 93 and E85? I guess the better question is how do you add multiple tune requests to an order?

I dont want a flex tune unless it has the exact same results as an E85 tune when E85 is in the car and 93 tune when 93 is in it.

You pick those options from the drop down menu, Standard 93 tune $250, E85/Flex Fuel Tune is $200.00 more +the device cost if you don't have a tuner already..

From what Tyler told me when I asked about getting a drag mode A10 tune .. their E85 tune ramps timing in quicker and is not to be run with less than E70.

Yes,, 250 for the 93 tune, 200 to add Flex // E85 ..

Yup for 450 you get all 3 tunes. 93, Flex and E85. I just purchased NGuague and tunes few days ago.
They send you out a baseline pump gas tune first, you'll then have to datalog and send them to get the Flex and E85 tunes

they do and its no additional charge, we typically will do the 93 tune first and then the e85 tune on blown application. on an n/a we do a flex tune , and an e85 race tune

n/a there isn't a reason for a 93 tune, as the flex will run 93 , and if the 93 has a little e content provide even more power than a basic 93

not knocking one or the other, but i have had both on a 10r80, PBD first, then swapped to lund. Preferred the lund flex tune Far more than my PBD tune.

I’m seriously considering getting a flex/e85 tune for my 18 A10 PP1 premium car, and I have a little different needs.

I want my A10 to shift smooth in normal mode since it is my daily driver.. I’m fine with the stock aggressiveness with the transmission in all the modes quite honestly. So would PBD or Lund be best to setup the A10 to be like this for a DD car? I would love to hear real world experience for both etc.

Also, since this is a daily driver and I live just south of Memphis (hot and a little humid in the summer), would a JLT intake be worth it? I’m thinking 30ish whp without it and closer to 40ish whp with it, but keep in mind I do some stop and go driving on my commute to/from work.

I appreciate any feedback you guys/gals can give.

Consider AED too for your flex / e85 tuning needs. Also, 18+ stock cai with a drop in filter provides smoother maf curve for flex tuning and keeps iats down much better than open element intakes especially in warmer climates (Mine gets beat on in Phoenix where its 100-120 many months a year).
