I know everyone likes the catch can, but for those who would like to ventilate the crank case in addition to keeping oil/vapor out of intake track these are easy and cheap. Autozone Edelbrock breathers plus Dorman vacuum caps 3/8 inch (2). $33 bucks and 30 minutes to put on 2018 GT PP1 car. Fits under pancake engine cover. :).

Could you by a chance give me the part number, I’m trying to buy some but have no clue the size needed or if these are pretty much universal?

I’m just running passenger side now. They are the cheap $10 spectre filters you can but at any auto parts store. Just run a 1/2 inch drill bit through the rubber opening so they fit.

Appreciate, getting a Paxton put on my car and this was something that was asked for.

You will want to run both sides. Check the breather thread out on supercharged section. Ask those in the know.

From what I've read, breathers will loose you a few horsepower on a NA car. The PCV system allows the crank to spin with a little less resistance.

This is total BS. The PCV valve is hooked to manifold vacuum, at WOT there is not enough vacuum to open the PCV valve. You don't want that nasty oily blowby in the intake manifold at WOT full HP. That is why there is a check valve in the PCV valve.

Most real racers use a vacuum pump so there is crankcase vacuum at WOT.

breathers will typically fill up fast with oil you would be amazed what these put out, especially with a blower

we tried a breather catch can setup on our 18, and the amount of oil especially with e85 was ridiculous, we went back to a closed system catch can, and everything is burning much nicer, less smell, and less mess
How about a valve cover breather? (Oil cap breather) , Is it okay to run it on a FBO CJ and e85 Gen2?

Yep. Dunno why so many wanna revert to the 1960's. Breathers in place of a proper PCV system is just asinine.

Breathers/venting to the atmosphere is 1940s technology.
What wrong with older tech?

Vulcanized Rubber was 40's technology. 1840s!! absolutely still used today. Heck even the Radial tire is 74 year old tech.

Tires not your thing? Toilet paper was invented in 1857 also still used.

Now if you don't wipe your ass or drive on rubber radial tires. I suppose I'll "Eat Crow" on this. also a popular phrase from"The Strange Ride of Morrowbie Jukes"..1885 still used today 🤣🤪
