I know everyone likes the catch can, but for those who would like to ventilate the crank case in addition to keeping oil/vapor out of intake track these are easy and cheap. Autozone Edelbrock breathers plus Dorman vacuum caps 3/8 inch (2). $33 bucks and 30 minutes to put on 2018 GT PP1 car. Fits under pancake engine cover. :).

I just got rid of my pcv stuff and installed breathers as well. The only drawback that I read about is the smell of oil in the cabin when using the heat. Good thing I live in Georgia where it never seems to get cold.

I never really had that problem on my last car. The recirc button would stop any smell anyway. Corn burns so much cleaner than pump.

Those actually look nice. I was going to order a catch can for my 18 probably this week. Though I use the heat a lot in the winter so that's a little worrisome about smell coming in.

How often do those filters have to be changed? Seems like a much cheaper option for 2 of these than 1 catch can.

I ran them on my 14 GT cobra jet for 9000 miles (with winter driving) before trading car. I was catless and never smelt anything out of normal. Again hitting recirc button will not let outside smells in anyway.

You can clean them or just replace them every other oil change. It is cheap and you can always go catch can if you don’t like it. ;).

Note: Take 1/2 inch drill bit and open the rubber holes just a tad so they slide on easier. Make sure to blow/shake out the filters after drilling. Fyi. :).

breathers will typically fill up fast with oil you would be amazed what these put out, especially with a blower

we tried a breather catch can setup on our 18, and the amount of oil especially with e85 was ridiculous, we went back to a closed system catch can, and everything is burning much nicer, less smell, and less mess

Not running a blower. But, agreed with high boost closed system appropriate.

Remember with breathers you should be pulling out the check valve ball from the stock PCV valve on the passenger side so it will be open like the drivers side. passenger side only opens under vacuum, if there is no vacuum it always stays shut, otherwise you’re only evacuating pressure from the driver side.

Yes, you are correct. I did forget to mention that one small step. Just take small flat head to pop out check valve on passenger side pvc valve.

From what I've read, breathers will loose you a few horsepower on a NA car. The PCV system allows the crank to spin with a little less resistance.

Cool Man. Post what you have read, or even better, “data” that supports what you have “read” in regards to n/a coyotes losing power w/ breathers versus running pvc. Thanks. :).

I didn't meant to "hurt your feelings", but if you do "homework" you can find plenty of "data".
