I practiced safety techniques, learning to control the rotation of the back wheels when excess torque is applied while oversteering at slow speeds on low friction surfaces. To the uninitiated, that probably bears a faint resemblance to doing donuts in an icy parking lot. :sunglasses:

Went to the craft store for a picture frame , and found a mini me for her instead . Color is dang close and it is the right year . Amazing what you find in odd ball places .

So took it out for slow ride as its 38 degrees and the Pzeros are bricks at this temps (Can't wait to change these out). Coming home, of course kid in Mom's/Dad Maserati wants to play. Kept my composure but of course now lined up behind him at a light. Green light of off he go's. Slow start in first, shift to 2nd and tap half throttle and immediately break traction. Finally get enough traction in 3rd gear and you know I started pulling on him. Not sure what model it was, but in warmer weather, I would have definitely taken him. Just a little fun for the day

There was a lot of snow and freezing rain the last couple of days, but the roads were clear this morning. So I'm on my way to church with cruise set at 60 and a full-size van goes by the other way. Just a moment before it passes, big chunks of frozen snow fly off its roof and spin across the road, right into my grill. The billet aluminum grill popped out of its mounts and got pushed back to my radiator, front fascia will need paint at least, the mesh grill inside my hood ram air scoop is dented, license plate holder is loose on one side, and my deer whistles got torn off! I'll make an appointment with the local Ford dealer tomorrow to see if they find anything else wrong.

If you live in the snow belt, for the love of all things automotive, clean all the ice and snow off your vehicle before you hit the road. If I had been driving just a hair faster that ice could have come through my windshield instead of my grill.

I would’ve spun around, chased him, and taught him the real meaning of road rage!!! Grrr!!

Yeah, tempting, but I'd have been late for church. :please:

But my dashcam recorded it, and as soon as I figure out how to play the video on a screen bigger than a postage stamp, I'm hoping to get the license plate.

Ooof, that's rough. Glad it was just the car and not you. Years ago, my then-pregnant wife had some jackass in an SUV with a roof loaded full of ice pass on going 80mph on the highway -- and the ice lifted off, changed lanes, and plowed through the windshield (thankfully on the passenger side). Driver didn't even slow as my wife had to emergency stop on the side of the road. Thankfully she was fine, but traumatic either way.

Sorry about your car. Unfortunately, most people are just lazy slobs that only think of themselves and try to get from point A to B as fast as possible. There is no hope for the human race.

I know in the uk it’s illegal. You have to clear your car of all snow etc or it’s a hazard. STRING ‘em up and BURN THEM!! Harsh but fair.
