Probably be a couple years before that happens and Ford will be moving onto the next generation as well. My guess electric which the C8 will not be able yeti compete with until the C8 hybrid or C9.until the next C8 incarnation shows up. heh. Maybe the GT500 will stay clear, maybe it'll "get it's doors blown off by 5 sec a lap" like it dished out to the Z51 C8. Who knows. who cares?!?!
Pick one, drive it till you can't take it any more.
I’ll say this, the guy is dedicated to his flawed reasoning.blaqwhole said:The GT500's performance is track-dependent. Put it on a track where it can't stretch it's legs and it will flat out lose. Which is why I wonder if it is a track-CAR or just a car that did good at that particular traci?
He does have a point. If there were mainly shorter runs and all curves, the C8 would win. The people on Corvette C8 thread think the same. But if it was a longer run then the C8 would win since its top end is 194 and the GT500 is only 180 say Nascar oval track where they can get over 200mphWe have numbers from one track by one magazine, and from that:

Damn bro you got that good shit. Mind sharing?Of course....GM's test vehicles are the ones with a cage, pulley, intake tune and race gas.....and their numbers are so impressive they're never duplicated in the real world..
So the C8 wins at go kart and NASCAR tracks all across the country.
Eh.....what?
The new C8-R will be at 2020 Rolex 24 at DaytonaIt's funny...makes you wonder why they did not use NCM (Corvette Track) to showcase the abilities of the new C8. Simple - there would be no room for excuses. The GT350 R has a 4 second difference on that track with the C7 Z06 with same driver. If we knew the numbers of the C8 on their own track, it would expose a dose of reality GM does not want people to see. Especially with a pre-production car.
And on a autocross coarse a Miata would destroy both.He does have a point. If there were mainly shorter runs and all curves, the C8 would win. The people on Corvette C8 thread think the same. Not in the least. There will be plenty of Mustangs racing there that weekend in the same class they were in last year...The new C8-R will be at 2020 Rolex 24 at Daytona
MMmmm, there are no Mustangs. I guess Ford quit racing.
