If this thing runs with a Ford gt then there will be a lot of people finding that extra $20K for the CFTP. I don't see how, but I'm surely hoping it will.

Yes, the CFTP GT500 is almost as fast as the Ford GT. On some tracks anyway.

But horsepower has nothing to do with it and people on here brag like its so amazing its faster than a base C8 with like a 260hp handicap LOL.

Completely wrong....the base car beat the C8 by over 1 second
The "track adjustment was a 3 second advantage to the C8....3+1.5=4.5
Ford test drivers have consistently run 5 seconds faster in the CFTP....5+4.5=9.5.
Motortrend had just spent over a week testing the C8 so they had 10X as much seat time in it and ANYONE knows more seat time equals faster times...so lets just call it 1.5 seconds which is pretty fair.....9.5+1.5=11. Right?
I don't think some people understand that these cars(CFTP) has matched lap times of the Ford GT in the hands of their test drivers...
Also if you remove the speed limiter on the GT500 do you really think it wouldn't walk away from the C8 on a NASCAR oval? Really?

removing the limiter would be a mod. Plus the aero makes it slower

Ill go out on a limb and say the GT doesnt produce the times its price should LOL.

The ZR1 vette is faster for a fraction.

So saying a GT500 CFTP would be close if not faster wouldnt surprise me.

That would make the $95K CFTP car a performance bargain if true. Going to be an entertaining year next year with the magazine and youtube tests.

What kind of math is that?
Base gt500 was 1.28 sec faster
CFTP was 3.38 faster then base
C8 track setup was 1.77 faster then street setup

total is CFTP would be 6.43 faster then street setup C8 far cry to your 11 sec.

Ive looked at a few of these too out here in DC The Chevy Dealer by Tysons corner has a 2020 Orange A10 ZLE for 66k thats a hell of anlot of car for the money!

wow. I never noticed it. Good eyes. So yes, that car was not modified for this test. Perfectly stock. So we have a ringer car from Ford

I don't think a roll cage is street legal so Ford didn't do it.

Ford had roll cages installed in lots of the test cars.
Many of the Las Vegas cars had them.
The production cars do NOT have any roll cages.
