Very upsetting! Who is running Ford with these crazy ideas and no respect for tradition and heritage. The TJ was the last real Jeep and then the Jeep was turned into a shrunken Hummer. Now The Mustang name is being ruined. 0 respect for tradition. Before I got into Mustangs, my hobby was building sailboats. I guess I'll go back to that so I won't have to be irritated anymore by insensitive morons at Ford.

When Porsche introduced the Panamera, people were crying it was the death of Porsche. A four door Porsche with the looks of a 911, that was considered sac religious. Porsche is doing just fine and the Panamera is highly regarded. Mustang represents performance. It sounds like the Mach-E is about performance in electric form. It does not sound like they are not going to do the GM thing by introducing a faux performance vehicle. Let ‘s wait until it starts selling and get a chance to see the reviews before making judgement.

Yeah but Porsche didn’t call their four door a 911. They knew better. Ford on the other hand.......oh why bother. :headbang::headbang:

Exactly! Alot of people want to bring up Porsche and their 911 inspired SUVs without realizing the fact that they are not called 911s!!!

Inspired design is one thing, slapping the name on something it doesn't belong on for some ill fated attempt at marketing is something entirely different....

And oh by the way, the Mach Es performance model is called a GT because of course it is....

Specs are a bit underwhelming for an AWD EV. Range seems ok and price seems ok on the lower end models but mid 5-6 sec 0-60s on an AWD EV sucks... Every tesla AWD is sub 5 sec, even the heavy Model X. In order to get that 3 sec 0-60 you have to upgrade to the $60k GT model. They are basically directly competing with the Model Y on specs and price. (BTW the Model Y is listed at 5.5 sec for the RWD version and 4.8 for the AWD version.

No longer a ford fan after today, how can they be so idiotic to completely embarrass the car that made the company what it is. Unbelievable. A 4 door little pos suv that resembles something a 17 year old girl would be driving to school in. And no I don’t care if it does 0-60 in 1 second or 10. CHANGE THE NAME FORD

Ford is getting very desperate. Suddenly the C8 Corvette is looking really good now. Now you are going to see drivers of this Mach E giving you thumbs up thinking they are in the same league as you driving the Mustang. I don't get why put a horse on an SUV? This is just weird and quite frankly awkward and certainly not a sign of Ford doing well. They will put that Horse on everything soon. Mustang inspired fine, but to put the Mustang logo on it? What if Chevrolet put the flagship Corvette badge on an Suv? Desperate and out of place....

Can’t wait... I absolutely love my wonderfully loud fire-breathing Coyote and will be keeping it and offsetting my carbon footprint with what I hope is a fast, fun and hot looking EV. Best of both worlds!

If you ever owned an old one , especially a desirable one such as a big block Mach 1 or a Boss, you would feel worlds different about the name they chose for this , this , thing. What a disgrace

I have a 1999 Chevy Suburban 4wd, and gets 13mpg....

I offset my "carbon footprint" by getting a 2018 Mustang GT.

Hey, at least I'm making progress.

Mustang Mach E reminds me of Porsche Cayenne. It is not a sports car but it has the Porsche name slammed on it. Well, it sells.
