Thanks Jeff. I will check the radio and other fuses in the footwell area shortly. I bet one of those were blown too. This was all my fault because I used an antigravity battery. The battery had the positive terminal on the left side vs the right side and it slipped past my eye. Here is a pic...
I'm not a master of anything. I know absolutely nothing with these kinds of things. I was just adding a little humour thats all. Thanks again guys. I couldn't of done it without you all. You helped me figure it out. And Dave thank you very much sir.
I got it out!!!!!!! You guys are all wrong. Sorry to say. You have to put a screwdriver or butter knife on the right side of the fuse not where the tab is on the other side and then pop it out in a lifting motion. The left side where you all said to push and pull there didnt work. It fixed the...
All disconncted both the battery and the 3 cables that are attached to this fuse. Part of the reason I think I wasnt able to release it was maybe because I was using just my fingers. Im going out and buy a long flathead screwdriver that has a thin profile. Hopefully this will do the trick. I...
The car starts and its drivable. Its just that this fuse blew becuase the battery was installed incorrectly. I could drive it I am just scared the car will die if the battery loses power since its not being rechared by the alternator becuase this fuse blew. I will try using a screwdriver to pry...
Got it! On the right side of the fuse there is resessed square holes. does anything stick into there? Or its all held in place from the tab you showed. Nothing else sticks into the fuse from the opposite side?
The tab seems so hard like its not flexible to even push. Should a screwdriver behind it pushing forward while simultanously lifting be used? I was trying to use my fingers to remove it. I might add the tab is not part of the car but part of the fuse itelsef. When you guys say tab do you mean...
I just tried again I cant release this clip. I pushed on it in all directions. While pishing im lifting up. Anyone does anyone know of how to remove this G-d forsaken clip? Im just about done with this car.
I think I just need to know how this is properly removed before I we believe its melted on. I have a feeling it is a point on the clip that needs to be depressed. It feels loose to the touch but held in place by something. If it was melted on I dont think it would wiggle?
I did notice the bolts especially the battery bolt was really really tought to remove. I didnt see weld marks on the screws after I finally removed them?
Does it say where to put the screwdriver in so it releases? Can someone highlight where on the part to stick the screwdriver in? Thx so much guys. I messaged this guy a few weeks ago he never wrote back to me.
Btw all fuses including 36 were fine it was this maxi fuse that was blown. The three bolts in the picture were easy to remove. Whats left is the maxi fuse stuck in the fuse tray and wont budge. I was trying to use pliers to pry the entire thing out it wont budge. It's held in with clips i think...
I beg you guys. I need to move my car from This spot and I can't move it until I pull out and replace this fuse. They are threatening to tow my car. It's urgent. Much appreciated.
