I found a 2019 GT Premium PP1 manual with Magneride, 400A, Active Exhaust, and B&O sound on a lot for $39K.
The problem is, the blend date is 120190329. This is March 29, 2019, right? So, this car has been sitting on the lot for probably 6 months if you factor in shipping. Are there any concerns that I should have about it? All I can think of is flat-spotted tires and paint that hasn't been taken care of. Should I really be worried? Why has it taken so long to sell? I'm guessing it was too competitive with the Bullit at the price they were advertising (MSRP of $47930)

Pass on it...the very fact that you are asking the question tells me it isn't the right car for you. Ford paint is bad enough and sitting out there for months on end with no protection on the paint...forget it. It will need a paint correction and will have oxidation in the engine and undercarriage.

There’s still a lot of new unsold 2019’s on Dealer lots... just a search of cargurus alone will bring back tons across the country.

Even if the car sits for 6 months, at some point during those 6 mos, the Dealer would have moved the car around multiple times on their lot, it wouldn’t just sit in one single spot.

As far as paint goes, they would fully detail the car before selling or if a contract was signed. There really should not be any “damage” if the car is just on their lot. The painted surface is durable enough while it’s sitting... it’s when driving when the paint turns to shit (lmao)...

Right now due to the time of year in certain parts of the country (winter season) and the fact that 2020’s are rolling in, you can most likely get a damn good deal on any 2019, regardless of its blend date... and the bargaining table is in your favor, so go at it...

Just because the car has sat for 6 mos, doesn’t mean it’s bad, it could just mean that no one in that local area is seeking that specific equipped Mustang or the Dealership sucks at marketing their inventory.

My GT was built in March of 2018 and showed up at the dealer in late April.

I bought it on August 16 of 2018, and it was fine.

Mine was built in late October, 2018. I bought it in early June. Just turned 5k miles last weekend, and it has been fine.

My 18’ was built 12/17 and I bought it 10/18 with no issues. I would do the same scenario again if the deal is right.

I purchased my 16gtpp in july of 2017 it had been on the lot since December 2015 although I had to clean it very well when bought due to sitting under a pine tree for over a year. I have had no issues with my car it had 5 miles on it. I got a great deal for 28k

Mine sat on the lot 6 months as well, paint was fine. After I did a proper wash and wax the paint came out amazing, no paint correction needed. No holograms or halos even when shining a direct light on it. The rear deck lid on the other hand, that lasted 8 months before I replaced it with a carbon fiber one lol

I bought mine in September '18, built late Nov '17. So far it has been flawless.
