$15 over MSRP for a carbon fiber track pack car this early on is a pretty good deal.
I would never pay over MSRP but I won’t be getting one this year.

I am not one of those guys who would say this will be a collection car and increase in value. I just want the car. I have already mitigated the $15 K ADM. I have special tax free status in CA and don’t pay state or local tax. I also don’t have to register the car in CA and avoid $8,000 more dollars in vehicle tax from CA. I’m still paying it but the tax free status softens the blow. I also did all of my home improvement projects myself over the past three years because I expected the car to cost. I usually come out ahead on financial plans but this time I felt it worth to lose a little to get the car that I want when I want it.

Congrats on getting your CFTP allocation and very happy that this is all working out.

Personally I really don't appreciate others telling each of us as to how we should spend our hard earned money and suggest that you have no one else to answer to other than your immediate family and yourself on this issue!

Do I like ADM's or over paying for something that you really want besides a HP automobile, absolutely not but there are times in life whereby if you have a great passion for or want something bad enough that I don't think there is anything wrong with paying a reasonable sum over the normal or regular price.

I can tell you that I have paid a great deal more for some things in life aside from automobiles and looking back on these monetary issues I am more than happy with those decisions and suggest that you will be the same with your GT500 CFTP Mustang many years from now.

Unscheduled material hold does not confirm that there is an allocation. I would ask to see something from the Ford rep that covers your area to have any kind of certainty that the order will get built and is legit. UMH is nothing and I was afraid it might turn out to be the case. Why the big rush to pick a color? If the order was unscheduled clean, I certainly would understand the rush to pick a color, but with umh, there is no rush at all.

Get some mind of guarantee from the regional Ford rep. Tell your dealer your story and they will just have to understand.

Is this CFTP car already scheduled for production and if so they may have rushed your dealership in order to get any possible last minutes changes in based on a specific scheduled production date.

If this Golden Ticket allocation is for one of the 2 seat cars that is planned to be built before the FRAP shuts down production sometime in early November Ford is probably pushing dealerships along for any last minute changes.

If your car does not get built before the late Fall assembly deadline then production will not resume for the CFTP cars until sometime in March of 2020.

Yes, the 2 seat GT350R's and now the 2 seat CFTP GT500's come standard equipped with Michelin Cup 2 tires and once the ambient temperature gets close to freezing or colder these tires have a tendency to crack or crumble in certain areas therefore production for both models of the 2 seat cars at the FRAP will cease production sometime around early November and will not resume until sometime next Spring.

Just ask @Tomster about what can happen to these tires when exposed to cold temperatures!

Here's hoping that you, Tomster, myself and many others on here get our cars assembled before the production shutdown this Fall.

PP/Tomster: It doesn't get super cold in the Winter down here in South Texas but it does get chilly. So, I'm wondering if either of you have a minimum OAT for driving on the Cup 2's? I HOPE to take delivery sometime in November and while it doesn't start getting terribly cold by then, I'm going to want to DRIVE THAT THING immediately but not if the temp is gonna destroy those expensive tars. :-)

To avoid any liability issues with the either Ford or the OEM tire manufacturer namely Michelin they do not recommend operating your vehicle with these tires once temperatures drop to ~45 degrees F. or below.

Is there some room to move from the above absolutely but for me I always error on the side of caution just in case these tires do become an issue down the road especially based on the costly purchase price.

Not sure if you are aware of this but our cars also come with a PVC catch can, adjustable strut top mounts, front splitter wickets, CF instrument panel and a wheel locking kit and when installed don't look very good to me therefore never had them installed in any of my R models.

Also the ride height on our CFTP cars sit 1/2" lower than a Base GT500's (the Base 500's already sit lower than a Mustang GT) which also suggests a stiffer spring rate front and back just as is the case with the GT350R models.

What the difference in height of tires between the base and track pack? Secondly, I would assume a base with the handling pack would be the exact suspension as the track pack, making the only possible difference in height the tire?? I have not hears of any difference in suspension across any of the models.
