Looks like I’ve got to get this updated. I’ll get a new USB and do it this weekend

Had the same issue and doing the update via USB did fix it. Problem is, the connection over wifi is rather slow and the update is a pretty big one so it never has enough time to get the whole thing over wifi. Once I was updated, I turned off automatically search for updates and look for wifi signals. I'd rather do it manually via USB going forward.

Am I the only one not getting the Auto Run when the USB is inserted? I have the update on the USB and plugged it in. Nothing happens.

Did you format your USB drive to FAT32?
Yup. I followed the instructions from Fords website. The only thing I can think of is the CPU I used was an old lap top we had because it's the only Windows based machine I have access to. Perhaps something went wrong on the initial DL but all the files appeared correct.

Not sure about Windows. I use an iMac.

I did the update and it seemed to work. I didn't drive my car for 10 days (on vacation) and the first time I started it I got the stupid message. Have not seen it again, though.

If it comes up again I'll try turning off automatic updates.

I bought a mint used 2018 and has an old Sync 3 build. I get the pop ups and is driving me crazy. I tried the USB update and my Sync gets in a whacky loop of changing screens and keeps recycling and recycling but doesn’t actually update. After quite some time on the phone with the help desk they advised me to take to the dealership. This experience unfortunately has put a big dent in my blissful honeymoon period with my new purchase.

My computer in the garage wouldn't pull the update, but my work laptop will.. I'll get it taken car of tonight. Funny thing was that the person at Sync "care" or whatever they call it, said that my build (17276) was up to date..

Finally got through Ford’s incredibly laggy website and got the update downloaded. Here’s to hoping.
