Cat delete will reduce your knock potential if tuned right (less heat/backpressure) but may lower boost a bit. Save up for E85 fuel system, up the pulley and fly
I appreciate it... E85 for whatever reason is not available in Charlotte, or that would be my first choice. Catless Longtubes will be my next addition so I am hoping that will help some.

Longtubes are nice but frankly you get 95% of the gains or more from MAK deletes, way cheaper and no issues with O2 positioning. Check the MAK dynos for 2018 before/after.

You might also consider a remote tune from a coyote specialist. Local tuners often don't get into the details of the cam timing, or know what they're doing. No offense to your tuner. Cam timing directly affects cylinder pressure, which directly affects knock sensors activity. 8 lbs or so shouldn't be limiting that bad unless your 93 is just plain absolute garbage. On our garbage 91 I can only run about 15 degrees of timing with 12 lbs of boost. I would personally use Boostane over Torco as well to help make up for fuel shortages.

Your sig says local tuner, but you say Lund reviewed the logs?

Logs of the dyno runs would tell more of the story.

I didn't even know about these. This will definitely be the short term route that I go. I was starting to get worried about my cats as is... thanks for the advice.

I'm sorry, I haven't updated my signature and it's confusing. I use Pro Dyno out of Fort Mill, SC for all of my work. They do not have software to tune boosted 18's yet so I had to go off the seat of my pants and get a remote tune from Lund. Lund tuned the car through both dyno sessions remote and street logs remote. I have used QT, Shell, BP, and a few others 93 pump and every one of them was pissing off the knock sensors and pulling in the uppers of 7-8 degrees of timing. After running my first can of Torco the car was happy and actually added a few degrees at the same rpm range that it was initially taking timing. Just adding Torco with zero tune revisions gave me 65whp from the previous dyno run without it. My issue on the last dyno run when the car made 615whp was that timing dropped a few degrees during the pull, but the knock sensors were not pulling it. Lund advised to do a 6th gear pull instead of 7th and we got the same results. The final verdict was Lund telling me that the harmonics of the dyno must be throwing things off, but who knows...

Gotcha. I've got a few buddies who work in refineries. They tell me regionally all gas stations in an area get the same gas, just with slightly tweaked additive packages which is mostly detergents. So make sense all the different stations yield the same results.

There is nothing wrong with your numbers with the setup you have. Obviously you saw a significant gain when you added the octane booster.
I think PC tech was thinking P1X when telling you the numbers he did. I originally had the same kit (HO, Stage 2 IC, P1SC-1) i started with a 3.85" pulley.
I saw 8lbs of boost, Lund tuned on 93 and put down 601/490. No knock, good 93. Ran it that way for a long time and switched to E85 and never looked back. It is a small blower but with the right FUEL can make a lot of power. I ended my P1 with 13pst at 740ish. Guys on here running 9's with the same setup. You are limited by your fuel mostly.

Well put. E85 and a small blower at 10-13psi will get you where you want to go if you can get the fuel.

Or spend $150 on a smaller pulley and new belt and let the baby blower eat a little...
How is he going to run more boost when it's already pulling timing on the stock pulley?

Great advice! I was thinking that it could be confusion with the P1X as well. I am okay with the power "for now" thank you for chiming in!

Pump gas is just really limiting with the higher compression in the gen 3’s, along with the fact that this is a smaller compressor. I was really disappointed with how much power I had to give up on pump gas with my whipple ‘19 just to keep the knock sensors happy. Fortunately I do have e85 available though and was able to go that route.

The hot start issue is more than likely the dw400 due to lack of check valve. Just something you have to live with, but no harm done.

thank you for the great response, and the information on the fuel pump boost. I'm glad to know that no harm is being done lol. Thanks again

Lots of gen 3 making more power with more boost with bigger blowers using boostane/torco. If mixed properly it will handle 11-12psi. I mix half can for 5 gallons

Buddy down here just ran 10.20s at 140 in his Paxton 2018 at 11psi with pump gas and boostane on a 95 degree sunny day
