Yep. I just unplugged mine and taped the ends.
I can see the part above near the fuse box under the hood, but where is the other one located?

I think the dealer may try to blame me for shorting out the sensor.. if so no warranty. If that happens I'll just get my car back and unplug...….

I thought I would take a picture for future reference if anyone was interested. Thanks go to those that pointed me in the right direction. These are the two sensors that thehunteroo was talking about. My system seems to be working fine and it has a new battery with a January 2019 date so hopefully I will not have any issues. But it is nice to know for future reference.

I almost forgot I had taken another picture of the BMS sensor located between the fuse block and the engine. This one better shows that sensor.

Mines running great and have 14.1-14.6 volts consistently.
Got my car back from the dealer... But they haven't heard back from Ford, he said they will call me when they hear anything.
In the meantime, I unplugged just the neg side and I'm getting a rock solid 14 volts. Wow I didn't realize how bad the car was running on the lower voltage.

I guess I'll let them do what Ford says, but I know what to do if it doesn't work.

This afternoon I disconnected the negative cable sensor to test all of this. Idling I get 13.3V if I disconnect both, nothing changes at idle. Before I disconnected the sensors it was showing 12.7V. On you guys getting 14+V is that while driving or at idle or both?

Both. You need to put 3-4 key cycles on it. You may also have battery on it’s way out.

Ah, okay. I only tried it twice. I will keep an eye on it tomorrow and see what happens. This is the battery....
