This is the only detailed thread I have seen, i know its old but I would like to know how this method of disconnecting is holding up now that its been a few years and hopefully you guys still have your s550 lol I been through 5 batterys in the past 3 years always happens randomly too, I'll park my car on my 2 days off and take my girls car when we go out and then when i go to start it for work, its completely dead, starter clicks and then nada, replaced my battery and use forscan everytime to reset the bms, the last time i replaced the battery was last year in may, I also replaced my alternator with the upgraded heated seat alternator, i wanna disconnect the bms system as i heard its normal too for audio shops when adding audio systems
Are you always using the same brand battery, if so , what brand?

I have Interstate on the 21 Mach 1, 71 GTO and 69 Corvette. On the two older cars I replace the battery at 8 years to be safe. I keep all 3 cars on a battery maintainer whenever they are not being used.
Have you tried locking the car and placing the key fobs a significant distance away from the car?

I park in the street so key fob waking up the car is ruled out but i did look into the wifi and hotspot keeping the car awake so i turned it off and changed my battery type in forscan and target charge to 100
