Yep, sounds like the typewriter tick. Was the engine fully warm there, it sounds like the idle is higher than a fully warm engine idle.

That was after I washed the car so it was luke warm but hot or cold makes no difference in the sound.

I didn't see the need to pull out any bearings as the oil filter was mint.
Not so sure the filter would show anything after only 800 miles of engine running if a bearing was enough out of clearance spec to cause noise. Wear particles could be too small to detect at this point. If the engine was not ticking from 0 to 200 miles then started ticking, it could be a bearing is changing for some reason from those initial miles. Just a thought while you have it opened up at this point.

In my experience if a bearing is worn out it will always show in the filter regardless of mileage. I had a small block Ford that had 1 main journal out of spec due to the machine shop not checking the align hone as I had requested, after 15 mins of run time i cut the filter open and found bearing material.

Ditto, thanks OP for the effort you went through. I have occasional ticks and any rattle seems normal to me. Engine runs strong and does not burn oil. I wish the constant complainers would just move on...

I've had 2 DI vehicles besides the Mustang.
I had a 2006 VW GTI and have a 2016 Honda Accord.
They all tick the same as the Mustang. I'm convinced it's the HPFP.

I was on fords website getting as-built data for another car and saw they put out a tsb on the 10th of May specifically for the 18-19 5.0l engine noise. Nothing new, stating it is normal, and has sound clips showing you normal knocking noises. fwiw.

My wife's new Mercedes A220 engine makes a lot more noises than my Mustang: clatter and ticks. I checked the oil: full (btw, no dipstick, check it from the info screen).
Funny, when I hit the gas my Mustang suddenly makes more noise than the Mercedes, and it's all good noises! :)

Outstanding work OP!

unfortunately you won’t make people happy with your common sense and facts.

Most Betas on this forum would rather complain about BS noises than drive their cars as they sip iced lattes while wearing man buns.

Well done sir!

Car is a 2019 PP 1 A10 build date was Nov 2018, the tick and 2K rattle both started around 200 miles on the factory oil ...
Seems a bit strange that both those noises would show up at the same time. Adds more mud in the water.

Pro 5.0, are you also looking at other areas of the motor, like cam-chains, piston to cylinder clrarance, etc.
