If we were still in the pre-Hackett era chances would have been good on that, but now... I doubt it. Would be cool though, on the S197 the second facelift was a major improvement.perhaps the lightest of refreshes for the '21 & '22MY
True, with cost cutting the way it is at Ford, the chances are probably slimIf we were still in the pre-Hackett era chances would have been good on that, but now... I doubt it. Would be cool though, on the S197 the second facelift was a major improvement.
I think car companies would go broke in today's market if they did a whole model generation change every 3 years. However, Ford putting all their eggs into a Truck/SUV/Mustang basket, they can't afford for those key products to become stale. And a 5 year model run ('18-'22MY) is pushing it, when 3 years is more like the industry norm.

But.....if it means more budget/resources are being allocated to S650, perhaps it'll be worth it. I sure hope so.
The 5-year run Twin Turbo is talking about is on a refresh. You have to start the clock at 2015 for the model generation. 6 - 7 years with a refresh after year 3 or 4 is pretty much industry normal. Stretching it to 2022 makes it a 5 year model off the refresh, 8 years total on the generation. That’s a bit long. Especially for a car that is largely style driven.I think car companies would go broke in today's market if the did a whole model generation change every 3 years.
Bring it on! The GT500 look on the last 2 years of the S197 was magic.I have to say, this new image does look very GT500-like, just with a pony in the grill!
True, but that was the last two years of an old platform, not the start of a new one. That being said, it could work.Bring it on! The GT500 look on the last 2 years of the S197 was magic.
