Have come to a time of letting the Gt go..Im older and less mobile and have found myself wanting to use the truck more often..The car would serve someone else much better but I will miss the drive and beauty of the machine..Have only a few mods and dont know if its really worth the trouble of removing them. None of the mods are on the engine or suspension except rear Koni orange shocks. I have thought of taking the sve rims off to sell separately. Will a stock wheeled gt sell quicker..It is a base car with pp and recaros and 13,200 mi..Have thought of going the carmax route if I cant find a buyer in the next month..Any selling tips appreciated. Thx

Carmax will give you a price you can negotiate with a dealer on trade in. Otherwise, that's relatively low miles for a 2015; as par would be around 15K/yr; so it should sell quickly. I'd just get a price from Carmax, then list it for that plus some to deal with tire-kickers and BS. Or, let Carmax have it and walk away stress-free.

If it don't make you happy, then let it roll.

So use Carmax as a bottom dollar figure huh? ..Been on this m6g forum for 3 1/2 years and dont think I've ever checked out the classifieds here..Is the ForSale section an accurate measure of a beginning asking price?

Carmax can be competive in some cases always worth just checking. I sold a slk320 to them a few years back I was expecting a low ball offer but it was pretty decent so I took it.

I got a great bid from Vroom last time but used it to leverage a better trade with the dealer. It's super easy and online. Carvana also does online bids. Ive had good luck with Carmax in the past but last time they were low.

List it here and Craigslist. Just use common sense with potential buyers.

Switch back as much stock as you want to put the effort into removing sell that separately.

If I were in the market for a used S550, a three year old car PP with 13k miles and Recaros is ideal. Add in that is was driven by an older guy and stock make it the unicorn - perfect used car material IMO.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but not all of us ‘older guys’ drive 35mph in the left lane...

And I am a 30 year old driving my car like an 80 year old man. Sometimes stereotypes arent true, but they exist because often times they are..

All I am saying is that if I had two cars to choose from, one stock and driven by an older guy and the other modded and driven by a 20-30 something, im taking the old man's car all day.

I'd be interested in your SVE wheels, I have stock PP wheels so a trade + cash would work as well if you wanted to return the exterior to stock.

I agree, if you have any doubts let it go... I’m older also with a 15 base gt/pp with exhaust and recaro’s... and only 7000 miles....would like to get into a 19’ scat pack shaker challenger.... but I have to see how big of a hit I’ll take before I make that move....

Buyer is picking my '15 GT PP today. I have less miles than you. Didn't remove any mods. Sold the stock wheels on mine anyway. Posted on Autotrader, Cars.com (free ad) and on this board sold it. My supercharger didn't fetch much of a premium either. Took about a month to sell mine. Carmax usually gives horrible offers. Vroom is usually better. Took a couple months to sell mine.
I only drove the GT once a week and was kinda over the roughish ride, 14mpg, too much speeding, and the fact that I can't come close to using all that power. And if I'm just going to cruise around at normal speeds, I saw no point in keeping it as I have another car that's better suited and more comfortable.

ScatPac is definitely better overall than a 15 S550. I had a16 ScatPac and I loved it. Traded it in for a 17 GT350. It was actually even faster than the Shelby. The wife hated the ScatPac and refused to ride in it. You may want to rethink the Shaker option, awefully expensive for a hole in the hood and a Shaker.

For the OP, look into Kelly Bluebook online offers. They are very reasonable.

Just remember........ if you trade it in on another car or truck, you don't pay taxes on the trade-in value of your current car. If you own a 25k car outright, that can be a few grand in savings towards the new car price.
