The double-X of the Corsa offers a unique tone compared with a single X. It's not night and day, but from my experience on my GT, it's got a little more of the hollow sound at lower RPM and more scream at the top.

They don't effect emissions in any way. The resonator deletes are after the cats.

You definitely need a tune.

I have some in a box, but am waiting for my new voodoo to get here before i install...so it’ll be a bit, but i’m Fairly sure they run their’s with the spacers and no tune and there is no CEL. Just like the coyote guys running the O2 extensions.

Regarding the shifteck vs corsa...you can get 2 shifteck for 1 corsa, a novice can install easily with a $20 sawzall(not saying you are, but i sure am), and you can clamp the factory X back in if it’s too loud or you’re returning to stock. Idk how the corsa install is. So this may not be much advantage there.

Sound of either is awesome, i’ve had one seat folded down for weeks just to hear more of the exhaust :ford:

I have the Corsa and love how it sounds—but haven’t heard a shifttec one in person (th only way to compare for real). I bought mine when it first came out and it was the only option (besides having a muflershop do something custom).

I don’t regret my purchase at all, but if the shiftec was available I would’ve considered it.

Install was easy, but it’s cut and clamp—not how one brand would be any better.

Quality in Corsa was amazing—very premium. I’m sure the shiftec is good, but I have seen it in person.

I’m sure you’ll be happy whichever you chose. You may want to ask yourself if the extra couple of bucks will keep you from wondering “how would it sound or was it nicer?” A few months after the install. Some people really take stock in having the brand name...

I have the Shifteck off road mid pipes with the O2 spacer kit and have not thrown a CEL with close to 500 miles on it thus far. No tune.

It's pretty good. Good quality and it is good that it is a slip fit with clamps. No welding.
