transbrake broke my car

I'm looking to be the fastest 18 pump gas 93 car out there! hp tuners transbrake is violent, if car didnt break would I went in to the 9s. temps and da were perfect

You were a loonnggg way from nines... Being a automatic, especially a 10spd it is amazing how inefficient that car is. I am beginning to think that the 6spd auto's are better for drag racing.

people have hit 9s with his trap, if he can get his 60 ft down. id assume the trans brake will help that. not sure why you think the a10 is "inefficient"?

Because an automatic that 60's in the 1.6's, traps 138, should go faster than 10.5. It's losing somewhere in the middle. I agree a transbrake will help, but no way a transbrake is going to help 6 tenths worth. Another way to look at efficiency, if you look at the stats, I am assuming around 4k lb weight, the mph shows it is making around 810hp, but the e.t. shows it is making around 675hp. Even if it picks up a tenth or two with the transbrake, its not that efficient. I am assuming when someone comes out with a converter we will start to see the 10spds shine.

have you seen the fast list? there is a 10.3 with 1.6 60ft at 137.8mph.. with 11.6psi

2/10s is easy to lose. there are too many factors, could have spun a little on the 1-2 shift or what ever. if youre basing all your opinions of the a10 on 1 run you need to look around some more. both transmissions are great, but to say the a10 is "inefficient" is crazy talk. they shift harder and faster and the put power to the ground

I have been thinking of either trading mine in for an 18 10spd w/ a whipple, or converting mine to a 6spd auto, and I have not seen anything to tell me the 10spd is worth it. Like I said, once the aftermarket gets a handle on the converters, my mind will probably change.

have you driven an a10? everyone i have ever seen drive one says its miles better. at least stock.. sure after a converter and a tune the a6 is awesome. but the a10 with a 3.55, makes the stock a6 feel like an eco transmission. i have had 2 mt82 a 6r80 and now the a10. the gear changes are just quick and a stock 18 puts down usually 410-425whp. when a stock a6 would be like 360. gearing plays a big role in how these times come out there is a 10.2 at 141mph and a 10.1 at 137mph.. both a6.. question is how much power is how fast is it with how much power?
