Looks like you broke the clips the button actually grabs onto, which sucks. You'll need a new bezel surround to properly fix that, and they're not cheap. Even used they're like $350.

Doug, I’m thinking a new switch is in order as that is what the cover attaches to. That said, I searched like a demon and couldn’t find a damn thing about start switches for S550 Mustang’s. So now I’m thinking ice445 is right and the switch is integrated into the panel. Oh Boy!

OK, did a little more searching but you are not going to like what I found. It does appear that you will need to replace the "Dash Control Unit" (or the bezel like ice445 said). The bad news is that all of the Ford parts guys are showing is as discontinued.

Here's one I found on eBay.

I agree with the others. Tape or glue it and never look back. Shit happens.

I looked too and I'm pretty sure the switch is part of #4 in the attached page out of the Ford parts diagram. Unfortunately there is no price listed. It's from an '18 but I doubt newer is much different.
Being as yours is newer and a Bullet the dealer is probably going to be your only recourse.

Someone in the classifieds is selling used ones from a 19 and a 20. I think it shows as discontinued because it was superseded by another version but I'm not sure what part number that is.

Hell. Just trade it in. The dealer will tape it up and sell it to someone else.....

This is what I was looking for. The original directions for replacing the cover before they figured out you could just pop it off. If you decide to replace the panel here's how you do it.

And to confirm, like someone else stated, using glue would not solve the issue, for now?

my best idea now is to use a thick foam pad or magnets
