[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]Like a moron, I think I broke some tabs in my 2019 Bullitt push button assembly. I can't find a good pic of the inside anywhere to see what I am SUPPOSED to be seeing. Here is what I SEE NOW. When I pulled the old button off (to change for a sweet Spur5 Bullitt button he did for me in all red), I heard a not-so-comforting snap and then think I sensed some little piece of plastic flying to who know's where. The corresponding openings in the button should be where I have highlighted but I see nothing, making me think I broke these off. Any ideas? I can't find the part number or a guide how to change it out online (it is marked "8081" and "POM 1" in the pic. The bottom pic is me holding the button in place. If I let go in droops and rattles around unsecured. Any help would be appreciated. Calling me dumb butt has already been achieved by myself.

Has to be another manufacturer with similar style and must be someone who’s finagled it.

I’m sure may others have and has to be a video somewhere or info. Most ford cars and trucks are the same is my guess and then you have others as well.

I'll buy a coke for anyone who can help me. I'm pretty resourceful and don't give up easily when I start looking for info. I can't believe I can't get info on it. Now, if you start googling and searching, you actually see pics of THIS post.

Check this video out and not sure I understand what you think you did. It seems like the button cover clips are broken not the harness?

the button itself, is completely intact. I have the original that came with the Bullitt, and custom red plastic one, and a custom aluminum one from 5 spurs. The opening / holes in the back of the button rim seem to have nowhere to dock / nothing to hold onto. I think whatever "tab" they were supposed to fit over is what I broke off

Here are the buttons. All have same hole patten. One on right is what I want to use

Yeah I’d run her up to the dealer and hopefully it’s an easy fix otherwise yikes and that sucks. But the video does emphasize on the opposite sides to remove and I have never done it. Only thing I am wondering is the plastic piece separate from the wire harness. And with any luck the plastic assembly is replaceable versus having to buy a whole new wiring harness. Best of luck to you and valuable lesson to all here.

Not familiar with that mod, but could you just slap double-sided tape on the back of the button, and attach it to the plastic dash part? Apparently you broke one or both of the tabs that latch onto those covers. Very hard to fix, since it's thin plastic. Good luck.
