Alright. I'm just going to tell you all what I like, then you can take turns beating the s#&t out of me. However, if anyone has any legitimate recommendations, I absolutely welcome them. I personally like it when the wheels/ tires stick out a little past the wheel well. Not a lot, so that it looks like they were stolen from another car, just a little. If I keep the car at the stock ride height, then I have nothing to worry about. However, I do want to lower the car, mainly the front to reduce some of the gap. Are there any lowering spring options that would work in my case? 2017 V6.
Talk to kelly at BMR... he will have some good information for you...

Lowering

I installed Steeda progressive spring on my 2017 GT convertible - good outcome for driving (most of mine on highway here in Australia) and looks better stance now (no 'SUV look').

Tim, I have a 2018 GT vert (not PP) - I've been thinking about the minimum drop springs. Do I need to replace the shocks too? This is a street/commute car so I assume the pro-action non-adjustable or maybe get someone's PP take-offs.

Anyone else weigh in too please. I want a slightly lower stance but nothing too low, less rocking under hard acceleration/cornering, and stock-like ride quality.

I'd change the dampers for sure. I upgraded to min drop springs and didn't do the dampers.....regretted it. The extra weight of the vert combined with the dampers being more compressed then intended is a bad combo.

I ended up putting in some PP units and the car was OK, but not great. If you can fit it in the budget I'd get the Pro Actions. I've only recently come to the conclusion that high quality dampers are the key to ride quality.

Neither the Steeda guys here in Australia now the mechanics (specialist steering and suspension shop) recommended changing the shocks. After about two months and 4,000kms I was happy with the result - mine is a daily driver. I did consider coilovers but could not justify the expense given I don't track the car. Only issue is camber - I am about 2 degrees on rears (inside of tyre will wear)and have yet to find suitable camber plates.

Yesterday replaced the original Pirellis with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (which I believe are intended to come on the 2018 Mustang) and are used on some Ferrari and some AMG models. I have stayed with 19 inch wheels . They look good with the lowered stance of the car.

I have heard the same thing.. in fact I asked the BMR guy twice about changing the shocks and he said no... I guess it depends upon what you are using the vehicle for. I switched from a Coupe to a Vert because I simply don't have the time in my life yet to track or auto cross. The vert will be for daily driving, cruising, cross country road trips and spirited driving.
I originally had Eibach Pro kit springs on my coupe and they were pretty low. I knew I didn't want to go that low with the vert, plus BMR's minimal drop springs are still a linear spring which doesn't put as much stress on the struts...I have had them on for about 2 weeks and they are great. The drop is perfect, the back sits a bit higher for a subtle rake look (almost reverse raked with stock springs). Got rid of the squat and nose dive and corners just fine for me.

Forgive my exuberance but I just got done installing the Ford FR3 track pack dampers on my car and all I can WOW! Ride quality is much improved over the PP dampers and the car handles like its on rails. Actually the car rides better than it did when stock.

The non PP dampers are OK if you don't mind that floaty feeling, but these really bring out the chassis in this car. One of the best upgrades I have done.

Does anyone have pictures of the BMR SP763 ā€œmin dropā€ springs on a vert? I have the Steeda shocks on order and trying to decide what springs to pair them with. My car is not a Perf Pack. Iā€™m between the Steeda min drop and the SP763. Help!?

I like his style!

I have Steeda 2 Point bar on my vert right now. I recommend it as a mininum or go for their more sophisticated K Bar.
