Unfortunately if you want it to be secure you gotta upgrade to the V.2 FP Oil Separator or do what I did which was go to a whole different unit.

Do you have a part number for the V.2 FP Oil Separator? The only one I can find is the original M-6766-A50 and that one on the FRPP site says it doesn't work with PP2.
Let me fish it out for you. I got some things this morning but I'll be back with it.

Wow. I just cancelled my order from CJP - I thought the passenger side would fit! Back to the drawing board for me, as I can find no place to order a V2 FP Passenger side.

I'll have to ask my dealer if they have all that warranty stuff. They registered an FRPP account for me, but don't know if they did the warranty.

Thanks for all your help!
If it was installed at the dealer, they have all the warranty details, including rolling it into the Ford 3/36 new vehicle coverage. Everything should go smoothly, but don't put it off: I took my car in at 36,400 miles for inspection and my rear passenger shock was leaking, and when I called Ford to see if they'd split some of the cost because it was barely out of warranty, they said no. :frusty:
Make an appointment, see if they'll give you a loaner.

Thanks 2morrow! If they had to redesign the unit to fit around the PP2 TB, maybe they’ll cut a break to those of us who bought both? Probably a long shot but also can’t hurt to ask. I get that the PP2 came after the initial catch can, but it’s still not a good look for FP when their own products don’t fit together. IMHO none of us should have to buy the unit twice.

I had mine installed at Dallas Mustang not a dealer (they're a FP dealer, and certified shop). They registered for me, and Ford Performance emailed me back the details with a verification of the warranty registration.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge for labor?

$220+Tax. They were by far the cheapest I could find; North Central Ford wouldn't do it, and Five Star in Plano wanted $300+.

Ask for Rico/Enrique he manages the install/service department. They were incredibly friendly and efficient. The only "issue" I had was they didn't fully take out the sound tube, just capped it with the plug that's supposed to be in the firewall. I removed it myself, and put the plug in it' proper place. Not a huge deal, but I didn't notice before I left.

Not entirely true. You have to submit a copy of the parts install receipt, and parts purchase receipt to the Ford Performance info center. They then register your install for warranty. You send all that to [email protected]

You also will need the ASE # of the mechanic who installed that kit. But, like I said, a good dealer/authorized installer will handle all of this for you.

Hey guys, I've been hunting for that part number for you (I'm interested as well as I do all my friends installs) and the place where I
originally found the info was not correct (My bad, I shoulda verified). HOWEVER, I have reached out to the wizards at Ford Performance
and asked them about the official part number of a compatible unit or when it will be available if a re-design is in the works.

Thanks for your patience all.

Ouch, that's brutal...

They've had my car since the 22nd of January. I called them on Friday and they said that they can't find an issue, but that they were going to get my car on the lift and see if they can see anything and that I'd receive a call back on Friday. So Friday rolls around and no call. I called today and left a message after I finished school at 1 PM. Got a call back at 5:55 from the service lady stating that they can't find anything wrong and that I'll need to pick my car up tomorrow and go for a drive with the mechanic, so we will see what comes of it. I also have the BBQ tick that they were looking at. Hope to be able to show him either of the two issues.

I found that the FRPP's M-6766-A50 will fit only AFTER the PP2 is installed.
You have to free up the coolant tank to get it in place then refasten the coolant tank. It's tight but it fits.

Just an update since this thread is still alive.

I now have put around 20k miles on the car since installing PP1 (in total car has slightly over 32k). Everything is still great. I actually took my car in for oil change/ service this past weekend. Spoke to the tech that works on my car (local dealership, same tech since I bought it) and he said mechanically he doesn't see any additional wear vs a completely stock car. So thats a plus! Overall for the small HP bump, no lift shift, and what seems to be little to no additional wear I highly recommend!

Not true, you do not have to provide an ASE number.

Edit: I did not have to provide an ASE number.

Where exactly would he see additional wear?
