I'm a brand new GT owner, but I also agree that the GT isn't worth 50k-60k. In the low 30k range, it is awesome and seems just about right. But noticing all the clanks and clunks in this thing really reminds you that 1. it's still a ford, and 2. it's a blue collar working man's sports car 
If we start moving up to corvette/porsche price ranges, I would expect a white collar sports car, which the Mustang GT certainly is not.
