Oil Analysis

My 2017 gt350 lost oil pressure and blew up the gears in the oil pump
Per the ford engineers the dealer pulled pan, and top end and found no metal .So per my request, replaced just the oil pump. The motor had 2,480 miles
Currently after 500 miles, stop and go driving its a little hard to restart and there is some noise from the valve train
I would like to do a oil analysis and see what's going on
And my question is, The dealer does not do a analysis and I need recommendations on whom to have that done by?
The engineer did state my is the only know motor to NOT be replaced

FYI they would have a hard time telling for sure that no metal made it into the engine.

Why not get new motor? I wouldn't trust a dealer pulling the head!
I don't think a number matching motor would affect resale.

Harsh Reality

You need a new motor, and the oil cooler and lines must be flushed really well or replaced, as metal shavings in there will destroy your next motor. Has happened to others with the GT350. It is the OPG that failed first, then you lost oil pressure which destroyed your motor (or will real soon). OPG in these is a ticking time bomb, not billet like they should be. If you noticed no oil pressure and motor was still running, it's toast.

I do agree that when you get a new motor, the high school graduate (hopefully) techs working on the car will cause problems such as dents/scratches/loose bolts, etc. It will never be the same.

You document the crap out of it. If they damage it, they fix it. If they don't, you get ford involved and they buy the car back.

Sorry, you overestimate their abilities and assume Ford will help. If they scratch it, then what, a paint job?! Sorry will never be the same. I can spot the best paint repair a mile away. The only answer is a complete repaint and that isn't going to happen, even then, will never be as good as original. Best bet is to hope the second engine fails and pursue lemon law.

I'll point out that you don't run your R wheels and got PPF as soon as you got the car. ;)

Yes, ppf for track reasons and 6grs laying around from the last car. However, you blow an opg and there is no other way than to replace the motor. I think that is pretty universally understood. Afraid of dents and scratches at the cost of keeping a motor that's trashed?
