YES, go take a ride or two in one that has one installed. For me personally, I know I'm keeping the car for many years to come, and since I never had a supercharged car, I wanted to feel what I've been missing. I can say without a doubt I'm more than happy with my decision to get one. I have never regretted it for half a second. SH*T LOADS of power and smooth as stock.

Yep, my train of thought also. Love the car, plan on keeping it for a while, and making a hellcat equivalent of the Mustang sounded like a great idea :D

As you said, smooth as stock, then all the power you need to get yourself a night in jail REAL QUICK

is there any issues with long distance driving after you install one of these higher output (2.9) units?

Dont waste your money on a Roush Supercharger based on their advertised power output. They are full of **__! when it comes to advertising that their phase II will put out 727HP.

I ordered a supercharger last week (Paxton 2200). Patiently waiting for it to arrive lol.

But anyways, supercharge it! I've sat in a supercharged s550 and I ordered a kit the next day lol.

Just remember to also get OPG and CS just incase :)

I got all my stuff from Team Beefcake, pretty good deal on the kit and the OPG/CS!
I'd give them a shout.

A nice NA build is fun too! lol

Then you redo shortblock and port the heads over the winter months and throw some real boost at it!

If you track it add tires to the cost either way!

Good luck with either

Take a ride in a boosted S550, then you can answer the question for yourself ;)

#warpspeedengaged.
Wouldn't the answer to that be redundant?

Also I have been thinking hard about getting a supercharger too, it's just so much money its like buying a nice engagement ring but for a car.

I'm debating on supercharging my 2017 Mustang GT, if I don't SC, I'm going to upgrade with CobraJet manifold and either Lund tune or Livernois tune, I'll upgrade half shafts and drivetrain with either option I go.
Can you drive the stock car properly? Can you drive well enough to handle an additional 200-300HP? Are you mature enough to not wreck it pulling out of a Cars & Coffee with your foot flat to the floor?

Are you going to do the brakes, suspension, wheels and tires first? I see you don't even have a PP car, so you'll need a lot more that just forced induction to have a properly balanced car that does all 3 necessary things.

Power is worse than nothing without control.

I think I'm mature enough not to wreck my car, between owning my 2015 and now 2017, I've never roasted my tires, I kind of think roasting tires is a little ridiculous, I am going to upgrade to coilovers, and eventually a brake upgrade as well, as of now I think I'm just going to upgrade to a Cobra Jet intake, and not SC it.

I know this topic is personal preference, but I'd like to get some feedback on personal experience from some members.

I'm debating on supercharging my 2017 Mustang GT, if I don't SC, I'm going to upgrade with CobraJet manifold and either Lund tune or Livernois tune, I'll upgrade half shafts and drivetrain with either option I go.

Just looking for some feedback and or convincing to go one way or the other, any feedback/information is greatly appreciated.
Well, as a person who supercharged my 2015 with only 230 miles on it, returned it to stock and installed on my 2017 (switched to an auto) I say if you can afford it without hurting yourself financially DO IT.

If your even asking this question I do not believe a manifold and tune is going to quench your thirst, at least not for the long run.

You'll find lots of different ways to boost so pick your poison and enjoy the hell out of your car every day. I went Whipple and I can tell you it was the best decision I ever made.
