Are Long Tubes worth it with whipple?

is it worth it? most likley you wont notice the difference. someone who has driven many of these cars back to back probably would, but most of us noobs nope.

Nope, not to loud if just doing normal daily driving but if you get into it real hard it's a different story.

Comparing dyno numbers from different dynos on different days is retarded. Long tubes > cat deletes > stock shit. Period.

I've had LT and the first month or so, it's ok. Soon you'll get tired of the loud noise any time you step on it. It gets old and annoying. I won't do LT again.

Whipple with stock manifold is moderate sound and quick.

Agreed. I had to put an inline muffler in. Full ARH, while sounding great, was just too loud - and this was with hi-flo cats.

My ARH catless with borla touring catback sounds perfect and no drone ... I actually think it's to quiet But yes LT are worth the money in my book regardless if NA or FI

I just got mine back together and put longtubes on it this time. Def. louder, will get some times after i break it in to see if it picked up anything. On a side note drove it to work open headers this morning.... 44 miles. Talk about loud..

I don't know how the borla compares (volume wise) to the pure thunder's, but was too loud for me at anything more than 1/2 throttle. Once in a while when you are winding things out great, but was a little embarrassing just driving around town.

Of course everyone has different tolerances for these sorts of subjective things.

The Borla will be the best quiter/ no drone exhaust with or without headers due to the resonator they put in place instead of an H/X pipe ! I truly love mine but may change the rear mufflers for a little more sound

I have long tube chatted headers, x-pipe with the Roush active exhaust, with the valve closed it a little louder than stock but with the valve open it's super loud, it will wake the dead.

Mine is loud as hell with Borla S and catted headers. I raced my buddy's turbo Mach 1 and nearly blew his ear drum out on the left side, haha. I've considered the Touring resonator more than once.
